CAN I JOIN THE IFY WITHOUT COMPLETING HIGH SCHOOL?Successful applicants should have

completed 12 years of high school.

However, we may consider entry

on a case-by-case basis. Full entry

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ENROL ON THE IFY?For information on tuition,

WHERE WILL I STAY WHILE STUDYING THE IFY?Oxford Sixth Form College has two

boarding houses for 15-18 year olds,

both are in or near to the city centre

and a short walk away from the

college. Breakfast and dinner are

served 7 days per week. For students

aged 18+, the college has rooms and

flats reserved in an independent

residence, a short bus ride away from

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY CONDITIONAL OFFERS TO UNIVERSITY?We will help you to apply to your

universities of choice via the usual

UCAS channels and you will receive

your offers at the same time as

applicants studying A-Levels and

other level 3 programmes.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T ACHIEVE THE RESULTS I WAS EXPECTING?You can apply for a place through

Clearing. Although you may not

have met the requirements for the

guaranteed offer, NCUK’s placement

service has options for the majority

of students, regardless of their grades.

Your Senior Tutor will be able to offer

you advice and guide you through

the process.

I DON’T WANT TO APPLY TO ANY OF THE 16 PARTNER UNIVERSITIES. WILL THE IFY BE ACCEPTED ELSEWHERE?Outside of the NCUK partnership,

universities will look at the UCAS

points equal to your IFY grades and

base your acceptance on that criteria.

The International Foundation Year

qualification is recognised by over

Although there may be some cases

where your university of choice is

not available to you, your Senior

Tutor will work closely with you to

find you a suitable option.
