About Ashville College

Bespoke International Language School programme Our programme is carefully considered to suit each group that joins us during the summer months.

Attracting pupils from over 15 countries, the international mix creates opportunities for all who attend to learn as much as possible whilst in our care.

We run a two-week programme in July for boys and girls aged 11-17.

Ashville College, set in 64 acres, is a 20 minute walk from Harrogate town centre – which has been voted the happiest and one of the safest places to live in the UK.

Over the past 140 years, Ashville College has become one of the leading Independent Schools in the UK, for both day and boarding pupils, and most recently for pupils of its renowned International Language School.

SIGHT-SEEING TRIPS AND EXCURSIONS

Twice a week, pupils experience British culture, heritage, architecture and the local countryside. As well as excursions further afield to York, the Lake District, the North Yorkshire Seaside Coast and Leeds City Centre – we are also very proud of our roots so we spend time with pupils showing them around the picturesque Spa town of Harrogate, which is just a 20 minute walk away from the Campus.

FACILITIES PROVIDING A HOME AWAY FROM HOME

All International Language School pupils are looked after by a house parent who treat the pupils like they’re their own.

FacilitiesOur facilities offer a homely environment all day, every day and our staff are always on hand to offer help and encouragement or just a friendly face. Our boarding houses make the perfect home for our summer pupils. The houses are located within the school grounds and are a short walk from the main school building. They have excellent facilities including well equipped kitchens, study rooms with computers and attractive common rooms with satellite TV. Wi-fi is available throughout the houses.

Each house is a mixture of ages, creating a family atmosphere and enabling strong interaction across different age groups.

Food Just like home, meal times provide a time for us to come together. Each main meal is served in the senior school dining hall and provides pupils with the time to socialise with their peers. Our menus are healthy and nutritional as well as tasty with all food freshly prepared on the premises by our professional catering team.

Fun Our fun activities programme is recognised as one of the best – it was recently awarded a best initiative accolade by the Times newspaper. We encourage entertainment as it helps pupils improve their English the fun way. It’s also a time to relax and unwind with friends – some which will become friends for life.
