Area Internazionale di Ricerca sulla Teologia Morale

L'Area di Ricerca (AIRTM) è un gruppo di stu-diosi che da alcuni anni lavorano a livello inter-nazionale attorno ad alcune ipotesi comp-lessive sul rinnovamento della teologia moralenella luce dell'enciclica Veritatis splendor. Hafinora organizzato otto Colloqui e dueCongressi internazionali, di cui sono stati pub-blicati gli atti.

Le modalità di lavoro sono la preparazione diSeminari e Colloqui tra esperti, la promozionedi ricerche e tesi dottorali, l'elaborazione ditesti all'interno di ipotesi e piste comuni di rifles-sione. Istituita ufficialmente nel febbraio 1997presso l'Istituto Giovanni Paolo II per Studi suMatrimonio e Famiglia, è diretta dal Prof. LivioMelina.

Dal 2006, l'Area Internazionale di Ricerca sullaTeologia Morale (AIRTM) fa parte dell'Area diRicerca in Antropologia ed Etica Familiare(ARAEF), le cui iniziative sono realizzate in col-laborazione con il Servizio Nazionale della CEIper il Progetto Culturale.

INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH AREAON MORAL THEOLOGY

The International Research Area on MoralTheology (AIRTM) is made up of a group of schol-ars who have been working for several years onan international level around some hypothesesconcerning the renewal of moral theology in thelight of the encyclical Veritatis Splendor. So far ithas organized eight Colloquia and two interna-tional Congresses, the proceedings of whichhave been published.

The Research Area carries out its work in threefundamental ways: 1) the preparation of semi-nars and conferences that bring togetherexperts in the field; 2) the promotion of researchand doctoral dissertations; 3) the elaboration ofwritten materials proposing working hypothesesand lines of common reflection. It was officiallyinstituted in February 1997 at the John Paul IIInstitute for Studies on Marriage and the Familyand is directed by Prof. Livio Melina.

Since 2006 the Area Internazionale di Ricercasulla Teologia Morale (AIRTM) is part of the Areadi Ricerca in Antropologia ed Etica Familiare(ARAEF), which operates in collaboration with theNational Service for Culture of the ItalianBishops' Conference.

IL COLLOQUIO

Il presente Colloquio mette a tema il rinnovamento dell'in-segnamento della Teologia Morale alla luce del ConcilioVaticano II e delle encicliche Veritatis splendor e Deus cari-tas est. In questa luce sono emerse tre prospettive da veri-ficare, secondo una scansione trinitaria: il riferimento al fon-damento, il costituirsi dinamico del soggetto e la sua realiz-zazione nell'agire alla luce dell'amore:1. La rilevanza della vocazione in Cristo per la sistematiz-

zazione della teologia morale. 2. L'originalità della ragione pratica, strutturata dalla legge

naturale, data dal Padre nell'atto creativo. 3. Il dinamismo teologico dell'azione sostenuto dallo

Spirito Santo. Sono invitati a confrontarsi teologi moralisti che

negli ultimi anni hanno prodotto proposte di esposizione si-stematica, per un dialogo sulle prospettive dell'insegna-mento morale.

THE COLLOQUIUMThe Colloquium intends to explore the renewal of the teach-ing of moral theology in the light of II Vatican Council andthe Encyclicals Veritatis Splendor and Deus Caritas Est. Inthis light three perspectives have emerged that must beexamined according to a Trinitarian vision: 1. The relevance of our vocation in Christ for the system-

atization of moral theology2. The originality of practical reason, structured by natural

law, given from the Father in the creative act.3. The theological dynamism of action, sustained by the

Holy Spirit.Moral theologians who have in recent years intro-

duced proposals of systematic exposition have been invited,in order to facilitate an open discussion among diverseperspectives.
