Smoking Ban – Current List Of Smoking Prohibited Places
•Amusement centre.
•Foodshop [except designated smoking corner not exceeding 20% of the total floor area of that outdoor refreshment area]
•Air-conditioned hall, ballroom or function room of hotels when it is used for holding a meeting, conference, seminar, course or an exhibition or for the purpose of serving meals.
•Cinema or theatre.
•Enclosed premises of a bank to which members of the public have access
•Any clinical laboratory, healthcare establishment, hospital, maternity home, medical clinic or nursing home.
•Indoor ice-skating rink, roller-skating rink or roller-discotheque.
•Indoor sports arena, bowling alley, billiard saloon, gymnasium or aerobic or fitness centre.
•Lift
•Public library or any library in any institution of higher learning.
•Public museum or public art gallery.
•Air-conditioned office premises
Smoking Ban – Current List Of Smoking Prohibited Places
•Taxi
•Air-conditioned factory.
•Enclosed or air-conditioned corridor, lobby, stairwell or other common area of buildings which consists of office premises
•The Supreme Court, the Subordinate Courts and Small Claims Tribunals.
•Air-conditioned area in the terminal buildings of Singapore Changi Airport
•Any air-conditioned shopping mall or complex, including any shop, atrium, corridor, lobby, stairwell or other area within the shopping mall or complex, but excluding any place or premises used as a discotheque, pub, bar, lounge or night club.
•Underground pedestrian walkway.
•Area occupied by a queue of 2 or more persons in a public place.
•Air-conditioned shop.
•Air-conditioned restaurant, bowling alley, billiard saloon, arcade games room, gymnasium, fitness centre, library, reading room, theatre or cinema in any private club.
•School compound
Smoking Ban – Current List Of Smoking Prohibited Places
•Enclosed or air-conditioned part of any building, hall of residence, canteen, lecture theatre, sports and recreation centre or stairwell in any university.
•Public swimming pool
•Public toilets
•Sports stadium, including any facility, shop or common area within its compound.
•Community building, community centre or community club
•Bus interchange and bus terminus
•Hawker centre [except designated smoking corner not exceeding 20% of the total outdoor seating capacity; or where the hawker centre does not have an outdoor refreshment area – an area not exceeding 10% of the total indoor seating capacity.]
•Discotheque, pub, bar, lounge or night club [except designated smoking corner not exceeding 20% of the total floor area of that outdoor refreshment area]
•Omnibus.
•Private bus.
•Private hire bus.
•School bus.
Smoking Ban – Extension Of Smoking Prohibited Places From 1 Jan 2009
New Places to be covered under the smoking ban:
•Children’s playgrounds
•Exercise areas
•Markets
•Underground and multi—storey carparks, ferry terminals and jetties.
•Non - air conditioned areas in offices, factories, shops, shopping complexes and lift lobbies.
