ScholarshipsTwo academic scholarships are available for international students who apply to begin their studies in the fall semester. They are:
international excellence ScholarshipAwards up to $7,000 to international students who meet two of the following four criteria: 213 TOEFL exam score (79-80 on Internet-based exam, 550 on paper exam), 3.25 college GPA (90 overall high school average may be substituted), 1200 (critical reading and math) combined SAT, and/or are a member of Phi Theta Kappa in good standing.
international Merit ScholarshipAwards up to $3,000 to international students who meet two of the following four criteria: 195 TOEFL exam score (71 on Internet-based exam, 525 on paper exam), 3.0 college GPA (an 88 overall high school average may be substituted), 1100 (critical reading and math) combined SAT, and/or are a member of Phi Theta Kappa in good standing.
These scholarships are awarded at the time of acceptance to students who qualify. Students who have completed course work following high school graduation must meet the college grade point average (GPA) requirement in order to be considered for a scholarship. International students entering Alfred State through agents or special articulation agreements may not be eligible for these scholarships.
Please note that scholarship information is subject to change and that Alfred State does not offer other types of financial aid to international students.

How to ApplySubmit completed international student application form.
Submit evidence of financial support: - International Student Financial Statement.- Official bank statements.
Submit the non-refundable international application fee of $50 (u.S. dollars) payable by check, money order, or wire transfer to SunY ASC.
Submit official academic records and english translations, including:- Official transcripts.- Matriculation certificates.- Mark sheets and/or diplomas.
Submit english language Proficiency: Students whose native language is not English must submit evidence of English language proficiency by taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). An official score report must be forwarded to the Alfred State Admissions Office. (Alfred State’s institution code is 2522.) A score of 61 is required on the Internet-based exam, and 500 on paper exam. IELTS exam may also be used to show English proficiency.
