Tsumagoi Resort (1/2) Sai No Sato

Tsumagoi Resort Sai No Sato is located in Kakegawa-shi, Shizuoka Prefecture. Built in 1974 by the Yamaha Group, Sai No Sato resort is a full-scale facility surrounded by 140 hectares of lush green nature, it’s the perfect accommodation for families and groups. Under the management of HMI Group, this resort was renovated and reconstructed in 2016. In addition to the complete music facilities, guests can enjoy the on-site hot springs, churches, go-karts, golf, water park, and much more. It is one of the most difficult comprehensive facilities to be reserved in Shizuoka prefecture. Over the years, various large-scale events have been held here, including concerts with over 65,000 attendees, and various music festivals. In March 2017, HMI Group took over management of the resort and the resort with fully renovated and upgraded.

Join YAMAHA staff to learn about the manufacturing process of a grand piano. We will be having a private tour consists of an introduction video and a guided factory at the YAMAHA Kakegawa factory . You can see the craftsmen working with their traditional techniques of making pianos that has been passed down since 1900.

The Hamamatsu Museum of Musical Instruments is the first municipal museum of musical instruments in Japan. It was established as part of the Hamamatsu City“Creation of a City of Music” beginning in 1981, and is registered museum facility under the law of museums. The mission of the museum is to collect and preserve a representative selection of musical instruments and related materials from around the world, to research them, to exhibit them with an equal and unbiased perspective, and to cultivate a vast knowledge and understanding of music, musical instruments, and cultures through a variety of activities.

Japanese Traditional Instruments

Music plays a major part in Japanese culture, listening to traditional Japanese instruments can give you a new perspective on Japanese culture. We will be learning the history of some of the traditional instruments.

↑ Shakuhachi: One of the most popular traditional Japanese instruments, better known as the Japanese flute, is a vertically held bamboo flute, used for personal spiritual enlightenment.

↓ Taiko: the most well-known Japanese instrument, comes in variety of shapes and sizes, Taiko drums are often seen at many summer festivals in Japan and at Japanese culture ceremonies internationally.

Shizuoka Prefecture is Japan's undisputed center of tea, producing around 40 percent of the country's tasty commodity. Within Shizuoka, the city of Kakegawa, which lies southwest of Mount Fuji, serves as one of the regional tea hubs, being home to a host of tea plantations that cover many of the area's rolling hills.

Dr. Babayev had his first solo performance in age of 5 in State Conservatory where he debuted with classical and original compositions. As a child prodigy he was invited to the State school of musically gifted children where he was studied with prof. G.G. Sharoyev. Master of Arts from State Conservatory (Moscow, Russia); Doctorate degree in music from Academy of Science (Moscow, Russia); Pianist, solo and orchestra performer. Author of Symphonies, piano and variety of chamber music, number of music scores for movies. Dr. A.Babayev has numerous of articles published in prestigious scientific magazines. Membership includes European Concert Musicians Alliance (Europäisches Konzert-Musiker-Bündnis), Russian Composer Association, Music Teacher National Association,Music Educators Association. Certified by US Board of Education.

Born in Shanghai, China in 1979, he studied piano at the age of 4.

Won the first prize of Shanghai music competition at 7 years old with

his outstanding musical talent. At the age of 11, he was admitted to

the secondary school affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of music.

1999: Admitted to the New England Conservatory of music (NEC) with

full scholarship, became student of Russell Sherman and Patricia

Zander.

2000-2003: Participated in The Music Academy of the West music

festival, student of Jerome Lowenthal。

2003-2005: Student of Aleander Korsantia, winner of Arthur

Rubinstein Master competition. Finished Master Degree.

2007-2008: Earned graduate diploma, Studied Artist Diploma at

Boston Longy Music School with full scholarship.

2009-2010: Release of his first album. Earned Doctoral Degree.

2012: Winner of Astral’s 2012 National Auditions.

Yukari Fujita Started to play Organ at the age of 3. At 7 she began to study classical piano and at 15 she started to play the Electone. While she was enrolled in the YAMAHA performance workshop, she had played exclusively to YAMAHA and participated in a lot of competitions. In 1977, Yukari moved to Kakegawa city and was awarded special prizes in both the competition of YAMAHA Popular Song Concert Tokai and the Electone festival of Tokai. She began to play in Piano & Violin Duo “La-Seine” and released many albums. After returned to practicing the classical piano and etude for finger techniques, her musical interests shifted to jazz and had studied under Naoki Nishi. She built her own studio BLUE HOUSE in 1995 and has been composed, produced and presided music salon. She is a YAMAHA music foundation Examiner for The YAMAHA Grade Examination System of Performance 4th grade for Electone.

USD 3,500/Person –Standard double room

1. All the hotels are Japan local 3 star standard hotels and above. Meals are included during the camp unless otherwise stated.

2. International air tickets are not included in this price.

3. All the travel transportation in Japan will be by bus.

4. All the entry tickets for the trip are included.

5. All the programs will be hosted in English. English translator will be prepared.

6. Airport transportation and meal for the arrival and departure day need to be further decided, since it is quite depend on the flight

schedule.

7. All the date showed in this itinerary are Japan Time Zone.

8. It is strongly recommended that you purchase the travel accident insurance and other related insurance that you think is necessary to protect for your life, body, property or related interests during your trip.
