• Once you clear customs at the SANTIAGO AIRPORT, go to the FIRSTFLOOR and find the GROUND TRANSPORTATION AREA:

• There you will find several options, such as:

The ride to Santiago from the Airport will take about 40 minutes. There are a few options, like any international airport:

• -Uber App: from the airport to your address.

• -Cabify App: from the airport to your address.

• -www.transvip.cl: Transfer company that you can prepay, shared shuttle will be $8.200, and a transcab will be 23.500 that you can also share. THIS ARE FLAT FEES that will depend only on what part of Santiago you are going.

• -Buses: from the airport to the subway station “Pajaritos”.

• Turbus: every 10 minutes (from 5:00-1:00) $1.700. Then you will have to take the subway to the closest station from your address, which is $740.

• Centro Puerto: every 10 minutes (from 6:00- 23:30) $1.700. Then you will have to take the subway to the closest station from your address, which is $740.

• Taxi: (24/7) an average rate will be $130 every 200mts. So it will be around $18.000 depending on where you live. You can check the exact price at www.taximetro.cl

1. BUSES: they have different colours and numbers. Each “micro” has a sign indicates the place that isgoing. The cost of the local micro ride is around 700 CLP . (www.transantiago.cl)

2. THE “METRO”: it is very useful if you choose to live close to one of the subway station.(recommended)

SAFETY & SECURITY

• SANTIAGO IS THE BIGGEST CITY OF CHILE, therefor are some SAFETYMEASURES TO TAKE IN CONSIDERATION, like everywhere in theworld, avoid BAD neighborhoods.

• PICKPOCKET – Always keep track of your belongings, bags, backpacksand luggage. Don’t let them out of your sight.

• AVOID LEAVING YOUR BACKPACK on chairs in a restaurants or cafes.• IDENTIFICATION -Make a photocopy of your passport to carry with

you and leave the original in a safe place unless you really need it.• NIGHT OUT – avoid walking alone, try to always be in groups.• MONEY– Leave your money, plane tickets, passport, etc. in a safe

place at home.• WITHDRAW MONEY– look for ATMS located in safe places (banks or

supermarkets).
