Abstract This seminar will expand upon the emerging technology that is called "Internet of
Things." The speaker will discuss how electronic devices are able to connect and
communicate with each other. Mr. Atrizadeh will discuss the development of
smart devices (e.g., smart cars, smart homes) and the concerns over privacy,
security, and regulation. The speaker will discuss drones and how they are used
by the military, law enforcement, and civilians. Mr. Atrizadeh will discuss data
security, big data, and major security concerns. He will also assess recent court
cases and relevant laws.
During this seminar, you will learn more about the following: � What is the Internet of Things?
� How is privacy and security affected by using this technology?
� Which governmental agencies regulate this technology?
� How is the European Commission dealing with it?
� How do the courts deal with the related issues?
� What are the applicable rules and regulations?
� What is the future of the Internet of Things?
Speaker Biography
Salar Atrizadeh, Esq. is the principal and founder of the Law Offices of Salar Atrizadeh. He has an extensive background in technology and holds a bachelor's
of science degree in computer information systems with a minor in database
management systems.
Mr. Atrizadeh has conducted seminars, and handled cases in state and federal
courts, regarding online privacy, cloud computing, cybersecurity, crowdfunding,
cyber piracy, digital currencies, e-commerce transactions, electronic discovery,
internet sales tax laws, and online banking fraud before legal and non-legal
organizations, including, but not limited to, the State Bar of California, State Bar
of New Mexico, American Law Institute, University of Tulsa-Oklahoma, Thomson
Reuters/Rutter Group, NextSpace, Institute of Internal Auditors, IEEE, Rotary
International, and various chambers of commerce. The goal of these seminars
was to educate the public on the applicable state, federal, and international laws,
guidelines, and protocols. In addition, he has conducted presentations before
educational institutions on the topics of cyberharassment, cyberstalking and
cyberbullying. Mr. Atrizadeh is on the advisory board of the Information Systems Security
Association in Los Angeles, California. He is active on California State Bar's
Cyberspace Law Committee and a member of the Internet Society. He is also an
expert faculty member of Advantage Continuing Education Seminars, where he
teaches on topics related to internet, cyberspace, and technology.
