Youtube- When its okay and when not:

Okay• Many videos are how-tos

or lessons

• When the creators are an organization, author, school, or well reviewed teacher.

Not Okay• You really have to watch for

credibility (how they are presented, the title, and the content) EG: Bigfoot

• Youtube will NOT be used for entertainment. That is a home use, not a school use.

When using sites at home:

• What can we do to stay safe at home? • Never go online without your parents or your parents permission

• Don’t talk to people you or your parents don’t know

• Know that people are sometimes mean, so don’t add to it.

• Always tell your parent or teacher about something that upsets you or makes you feel uncomfortable

Internet Kindness

• Creative Critisism-• Add to what someone already has in a positive way

• Suggest what they could change

• Explain what they did wrong

• Add and tell why they should add more

• If it doesn’t help or add to a situation, should it be said?
