INTERSCHOOL GYMKHANA Urrbrae School Oval

School’s Parade This event will commence at 8:45am with judging of the best presented team of four. Schools may enter multiple teams. Students will be required to be mounted in Equestrian School Team uniform with their team in the warm up at 8:30am with their nominated supervising teacher/caregiver for their school team. This class will be judged on the Best Turned Out Equestrian School Team from the follow-ing; 1. Cleanliness of uniform, mount, tack 2. Overall appearance 3. Team’s performance working as a team. Catering: Will be available on the day until sold out. Attire: All riders must wear EA approved helmets on-ly. Each school must be easily recognisable by riders wearing their school uniform at all times with their jodhpurs. If your school has saddle cloths, brow bands and emblems in school colours they can be worn. Rid-ing boots with smooth soles must be worn. If schools have banners suitable for the School’s Parade event they may be used and carried by students on foot, not on horseback. Responsibility: We require each school participating in the Urrbrae Agricultural High School Interschool Gymkhana to nominate a supervisor, either a staff member or caregiver to accept full responsibility for their school team members including attire, mount fitness and gear checks. Urrbrae Agricultural High School and the organisers will not accept responsibility for any damage, death, injury or accident that may oc-cur on the day. Riders: Riders may ride in the Open or Encourage rings. Riders competing in arena 3 (Encourage) must ride in snaffle bridle. Riders in arena 2 are only per-mitted to compete in Led events. Awards: Ribbons awarded 1st to 3rd place in each class in each ring. Champion and Reserve ribbons for Cham-pionship classes. High Point Trophies for the rider scoring the highest point score in their age group. Urrbrae Agricultural High School High Point Primary and Secondary Perpetual trophies awarded to the pri-mary (and secondary respectively) students from the same school gaining the highest points for the day. Weather: If the ABC News 7pm on Wednesday, 31 October 2018 broadcast predicts the weather forecast to be 36°C or over for Friday, 2 November 2018 in Ad-elaide, OR if there has been over 25mm rain in the week leading up to the event, the event may need to have some adjustments made to the program or events. Everyone who has entered online will be noti-
fied, in addition to an update on the UAHS facebook page, to be advised if there will be any changes or if the event is postponed. Lunch Break: There will NO lunch break held during the day as riders will be able to find time between events for this, enabling the day to run more efficient-ly for everyone. Conditions Of Entry: $35 entry per horse. Enter online via Nominate. Entries close 28.10.18. Late entries pay-able at the Secretary’s tent from 7.30am with a late fee of $15 per horse. Entries on the day of $50 per horse. Maximum of 10 events per horse. Entry into the grounds from 7am. NO STALLIONS OR COLTS permitted on grounds. Classes will NOT be held except for Champion classes, hold time will be limited to ensure smooth running of the day’s program. Age of rider is on the day of the show (proof may be asked for). The organisers reserve the right to request the remov-al of any unruly horse or person from the grounds for the safety and welfare of other horses/persons. Any protest must be made in writing and signed and handed to the show secretary with a $50 fee. The pro-test must be lodged within 10 minutes of the event in question. The committee will determine the outcome of any protest. The fee is non-refundable. NO DOGS permitted on the grounds. All manure is to be picked and placed in bins provided before departure. All holes dug by horses while being tied up to be filled in. All hay cleaned up and put into manure bins. The committee reserves the right to alter program and classes as deemed necessary on the day.
