INTERVIEW QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1) Tell me about yourself.My name is Desmond Chan. I live in Ampang. I have undergoing my Bachelor of Business Studies, major in Business Administration and currently pursuing in second last semester.

2) Why do you want to work at our company?Sir/Ms, It is a great privilege for anyone to work in a reputated company like yours. When I read about your company job advertisement, i found that my qualification are matching with your requirement where i can sharing my skills and knowledge to support company growth. / I have interested on the job you offered.

3) What is your strength?I am a hardworking and self-motivated person. Besides, I also have opportunity to learn how to become a leader by taking the role of class representative during my tertiary education. The most important is I will never give up easily when doing certain task. Therefore, I will try my best to accomplish the goal that I have set previously.

4) What is your weakness?My greatest weakness is sometimes I will feel much emotional when people doing last minute work because I like to start the work on earlier stage so I can have sufficient time to follow up when it is necessary. Besides, I cant say no when someone ask for help because when I help someone, i will gain more satisfaction but it must depends on the request circumstances.

5) Why should I hired you?Sir/Ms, I am a fresher. I will put all my efforts for the organization. Being punctual and sincere, I believe I can finish the work on time and sincere with my work. Besides, I am a quick learner and I promise you never regret for the decision to appoint me as an employee to work in this organization.

6) What are your salary requirement?Sir/Madam, I am a fresher. Salary is not priority for me. I believe your company will serve me an important platform to start my career as internship. And i also want to take this opportunity to improve my skills and knowledge for future development. So, I expect a considerable of salary according to my ability and company norms.

7) What does success mean to you?For me, success is not only to achieve the goal that I had set previously but the moment that we put more effort to make the goal happen. Sometimes we are not able to achieve the goals but at least we had win a friendship and build strong teamwork with members.

8) What kind of movie do you like?For me, I like to watch Hong Kong Drama series and Singapore movie that can inspire me to learn something new such as the journey to the west and Ah Boys to Men.

9) What kind of music do you like?For me, i like to listen the song that can motivate me when I’m facing difficulties in all aspect. For example, Kelly Clarkson “Stronger” and Maroon “Sugar”

10) Where do you see yourself after 5 years time? OR If you are hired, what do you see in your future?My goal right now is to find a position at a company where I can grow and take new challenges in the future. Ultimately, I would like to become a mentor in 5 years time in which I am able to impart my skills and knowledge to the new employees. Besides, I wish to have more management responsibilities and the rights to make decision. But most importantly, I want to work in the organization where i can build a career.

11) What motivated you to come to this interview?I am motivated by meeting the set targets within deadlines. It give me a sense of accomplishment and it’s something I can look back on and say I achieve that! For example, this question is similar to ask me why I want to study TAR UC because I want to get a degree at the reasonable cost and good quality compared with others. Therefore, I will choose to study hard and graduate on time!

12) What do you like to do in your free time?During my free time especially semester break, i will spend my time with my family and friends. So, i will organize a small gathering with my classmates before they back to their hometown. Next, i will also do research on jobstreet website to identify what are the jobs available in the market and read their requirements. Besides, I also will become a driver to carry my brothers back from schools.

13) Can you work under pressure?Yes. I am able to work under pressure. In my opinion, I believe that every people has their own pressure on different perspective. For me, i would like to minimize the pressure by manage my time properly and get the job done before the deadline.
