OUR STORYTHE FOUNDATION

Leagel was born in 1991 in the Republic of San Marino.

The company was founded by Tonino Leardini, after a 30 years experience in ice-creamery and pastry making.

Thanks to his true passion for the art of confectionery, Tonino and his wife decided to share their know-how to the benefit of their fellow artisan-colleagues.

1991

OUR STORYGIOVANNI CALABRÓ

Leagel grows up and a new associate, Giovanni Calabro, a former Gelatiere with an amazing sales experience, joins the company.

This is a further forward step towards the success of the Company Brand, especially in Germany.

1994

OUR STORYSECOND GENERATION

Quick Steps. Time goes by and the second generation enters the company.Strategic areas are supervised by a family member, in order to assure continuity to the running business, as for the founders’ goals.

Every person has shared personal experience, bringing innovation and asserting the autonomy of their own role.

OUR STORYLEAGEL AMERICA DO SUL

Horizons widen through an incremental growth in international markets.

A new branch in South America arises: Leagel America Do Sul, a production unit in Sete Lagoas, based in the heart of Brazil produces and delivers in the whole continent.

A brand new factory with specific plants is built, reflecting the most advanced technology in the food industry.

Everything is designed to meet the needs of processing, storage and distribution of the Company. Leagel is now the largest food company in the small Republic of San Marino.
