About Milano Kumbo Sports Academy

� Milano Kumbo Sports Academy is a duly registered, non profit sports academy based in Kumbo –Bui Division of the North West Province of Cameroon –Central Africa training young people in football, athletics, basketball, handball and table tennis.

� The Academy was created in 2005 with prefectorial order No E26/PS/118/220MDS of the 07/12/2005 and

Ministerial No 018/A/MINSEP/SG/CJ of the 24/10/2006

� The Academy aims at fighting HIV/AIDs amongst youths, fight against crime and drug abuse, bio diversity conservation as well as scout for talents in the above mentioned sports disciplines to guide them in our own little way for future professional careers.

The government and people of Cameroon have given the Sports Academy a 6.67 Ha of State land for the construction of the permanent structures of the Academy.

MEMBERSHIP� There is membership and one contributes to become a member. � Contributions come each time from members when there is an event.

All the people working with the academy are volunte ers and struggle to sponsor these kids to school.

Objectives of the Academy

� Creating a sustainable Academy in order to Develop not only Football but other sports

� Detecting sports talents in young people and giving them a chance at making a career

even away from our academy

� Engaging young people in physical and moral Education with a view to reducing crime

rate, drug abuse as well as the fight against HIV /AIDS.

� Training young people in the sustainable management of Bio-Diversities and

environmental protection.

� Building friendship ties with other state holders as well as other sports orientated entities

the world over and participating in activities that promote friendship, which is the ultimate

goal of sports in our humble view.

� Promoting sporting activities in all domains in Bui Division, and to help talented youths

expose their talents so as to enable them make a living out of it and help other athletes.

Young people are rough diamonds whom if polished sh all not only shine for themselves but shall shine for their countries and the whole of humanity.

Our table tennis department currently has the University games champions both in male and female categories, and the National female vice champion of Cameroon.



Achievements� We have participated and won in the

Big D marathon April 2007 and the White Rock Marathon both in Dallas , USA.

� We have equally participated and won elite positions in the Boston Marathon April 2008 in the USA as you can see from the statistics above.

� In soccer, we run a second Dvisionsoccer team that is comprised mainly of high schol student (17 – 20 Years) making it very unique in Cameroon for a team to be made of students and with their limited training they succeeded and came amongst the first three in the provincial league .

�In basketball, we have a college basketball team with about 50 players.

�We work with about 120 runners, 150 under 20soccer players, 120 under 15 soccer players, 50 basketballers, 40 handballers, and 15 table tennis players.

� TABLE TENNIS – 20 Players� 10 Girls and 10 Boys

�ATHLETICS BOYS & GIRLS Events competed : - High Jump, Shot-put ,100m, 400m, 15000m, 5000, cross-country for both boys and girls, 3000m for girls and 10.000m for boys relay 4 x 400, boys girls

Success : Our Summer vacation Camp� For the PARTICPANTS� Various activities singled out the outstanding athletes who

need immediate and sustained attention vital for possible professional careers.

� Activities revealed the hidden talent that all or most of the participants had but were unaware of.

� Activities equally presented and encouraged the spirit of competition and especially self challenge in all the participants which spirit shall build strong personalities in each one of them

� For the COMMUNITY� Activities brought about and reinforce the spirit of

friendship and unity amongst young people who are a very active and consequently very volatile section of the population.

� Activities were welcomed by the local authorities which shall help reduce crime rate and drug abuse that usually characterize the summer holidays.

� We are certain that the nation shall discover some of the rough diamonds which need polishing so that Cameroon should soon be proud of other Eto’o Fils, Françoise Mbangos, and Marie Lionie

� We have succeeded in the physical and moral education of our people and youths. The camp has given them enough reason to dream, which dreams they may realize some day with or without us.

and was Big D Marathon champion in 2007.

Wirngo Immaculate. • 2006:Senior female mount Cameroon champion: • 2007 second in the 2007 Big D marathon in Dallas • 37th female in the 2008 Boston marathon. • 2nd in the Libreville Marathon in 2006• 2nd in the Lagos Marathon in 2006• 2nd in the Malabo Marathon in 2006.

Race of Hope. • The Cameroon all category 5000m champion and was just 10secionds away from the Beijing Olympic qualification time.• 1st in the under 16 category of the Big D marathon 2007 represented Cameroon at the African Youth Championship in Burkina Faso.• The Cameroon 5000m and 3000m female champion • She is a form three student

Foimi Justilin.•The Cameroon 5000m and 10000m male champion• Was just 30 seconds away from the Olympic qualification time in • He participated at this years Boston Marathon 06/2008for the first time and was 38th in the over all . • He was part of the relay team that came second in the 2008 mount Cameroon race of hope

Mbacha Eric Mangeh. • The Cameron marathon champion: He is a high school student • 28th in the overall Bosoton Marathon in 2008.• 2nd at he Libreville marathon in 2006• 2nd at the Malabo Marathon • 8th at the Nairobi marathon

Simo Peirre•Son of the legendary runner Sarah Etonge enrolled in the Academy early this year .• He is a specialist of the half marathon • Champion of the half Marathon in Cameroon

• Specialises also in the 5000m category race.
