    An Introduction

Beginning in 2010, small groups of concernedcitizens began discussing whether there might be anew approach to politics something thattranscended the confusing rhetoric of thetraditional parties.

This discussion began in Ohio not in WashingtonD.C. This discussion was not directed or paid for by any major interest group.

Our goal was to come up with a new politicalconstruct - one that was consistent with our valuesand would improve the political climate.

The Fairness Coalition This Coalition is an open construct. It is open in

terms of membership and in terms of itsphilosophical diversity.

We reject the current popular notions of what isLiberal or Conservative. Those definitions have beenmanipulated so much over the years that they nolonger have much meaning.

We are only concerned with whether Americans canhave the opportunity to judge whether a politicalposition or policy is Fair or Unfair.

This is a Coalition of the people, for the people, bythe people.

    Mission Statement

The primary mission of The Fairness Coalition issimple; it is to ensure that every political issue or decision is evaluated in the context of whats Fair -not merely by what may be politically expedient.

We can apply basic tests or questions to eachissue for example; does this position or policyharm far more people than it helps?

The Fairness Coalition is meant to provide amechanism to break through the animosity thathas deliberately been instilled between Right &Left and to restore faith in our political system.

Conclusion The Fairness Coalition consists of ordinary Americans

who are tired of the direction the country is going in. We began this effort from the Heartland, outside the

beltway, because we know that true change cannothappen inside of Washington.

We represent the countless Americans who no longer identify with existing parties or activist groups. This isnot about remaking America into some new Liberal or Conservative vision it is about restoring America tothe successful formula it employed in the latter half of the 20th Century . That America respected andsupported Fairness and as a result became the mostpowerful, prosperous nation in the history of mankind.
