INTRODUCTION
On December 14th, the U23 FOIL INTERNATIONAL OPEN TERRASSA 2014. This is
a male and female competition included into the Spanish National Ranking. The
inscription is open for the international fencers and men will be scoring in U23
European Circuit.
The Catalan Fencing Federation, the Ciutat de Terrassa Fencing Club and the Spanish
Royal Fencing Federation, with the support of Terrassa’s Council, the Catalan Sport
Council and the Union of Sport Federations of Catalonia, organize this competition.
Besides, Saturday, December 13th, FCE, FIE and RFEE celebrate the Junior World
Cup Terrassa 2014, a men foil junior competition. Official championship of the fencing
World Cup’s international circuit.

INTERNATIONAL OPEN:
Sunday, December 14th:
7:15 h: Sports hall opening
7:30 h: Entry fee payment, fencer’s confirmation and material control 8:30 h: Scratch – Elimination of those not in attendance 9:00 h: Start of the competition (poules)
15:00 h: Estimate ending of competition
WORLD CUP:
Friday, December 12th
18:00 – 21:00 h: Material Control at the official hotel, Terrassa Park.
Saturday, December 13th:
7:15 h: Sports hall opening
7:30 h: Entry fee payment, fencer’s confirmation and material control 8:30 h: Scratch – Elimination of those not in attendance 9:00 h: Start of the competition (poules) 18:00 h: Prize-giving ceremony
REGISTRATION
INTERNATIONAL OPEN: To make the inscription follow the steps at the website.
WORLD CUP: Registration must be done by the national federations through the FIE website.

ENTRY FEE
The entry fee will be paid to the competition Secretary when the fencer’s confirmation
will take place.

REFEREE CONTRIBUTION
INTERNATIONAL OPEN
The contribution of referees will be done by each club according the following table:
From 1 to 4 fencers 1 referee or 20€/fencer fee
From 5 to 9 fencers 1 referee or book and pay a referee to organization
From 10 to 15 fencers 2 referees or 1 referee + 20€/fencer fee from 9
fencers.
The deadline to book a referee in advance is Monday, January 27th, 2014 .
The referees shall be confirmed at the fencer’s confirmation time and must be at the
disposal of the Technical Directory throughout the competition. They must confirm their
presence on the day of the competition at 7:30 h at the Directoir Technique.
WORLD CUP The contribution of referees will be done by each country following FIE rules for Junior
World Cup competitions.
SPORTS HALL
The competition will be held at the facilities of the Can Jofresa Municipal Sports Hall,
Terrassa's biggest indoor sports hall.

TRANSPORT
Transport Barcelona Airport (El Prat T1) – Terrassa Park Hotel
The organization offers a transport service from Barcelona airport (Terminal T1) to
Terrassa for arrivals, and also from Terrassa to Barcelona Airport for departures.
Transfer service Booking: In order to make use of this service, you must book it by
filling the Request Form and mailing it to [email protected] before Friday
November 28th. Download Request Form here or find it attached to this document.
Pick up points, and all terms of service are specified in the Booking Request Form.
Deadlines and service availability: Please respect deadline. Requests received after
Friday November 28th will be also considered, but be aware that in that case service
won’t be granted unless shuttle availability allows it.
We will do our best to satisfy every request. Nevertheless, service might be unavailable
if demand exceeds our vehicle availability, which would be notified to you well in
advance.
Confirmation: After requesting booking, between December 1st and December 3rd you
will receive a confirmation mail confirming service availability and scheduling your pick
up exact times for every member of your party.

Timetable: Waiting time for delegations which have properly booked their shuttle
service will not exceed one hour.
Those delegations which have not booked their shuttle service will as well be able to
make use of it on the go, having their waiting time adapted to schedule availabilities.

The competition's official hotel is located at a distance of approximately 200 meters
from the sports hall where the World Cup will be held. Therefore, the participants do not
need any means of transport to get there.

TAXI: The official taxi cars in Barcelona are black and yellow and they are
legally authorized to charge the fare shown in their taximeter. The journey to
get to Hotel Terrassa Park takes 30 or 45 minutes, approximately, depending
on how busy the roads are.
DOPING CONTROL
Doping control will be performed at World Cup by the organization’s official doctor,
following the FIE regulations.
VIDEOREFEREE
There will be videoreferee at the World Cup from semifinals.
BAR SERVICE
There will be an open bar service for the fencers and their companions on the day of
the competition.
