Kenston Local Schools

• Located in the Southwest corner of Geauga County

• Combines students from the communities of Bainbridge and Auburn Townships

• 5 schools located on campus• Property and land elevation were altered during

the construction of the new high school– Parking lots, clearing trees, retention ponds, athletic

fields, drainage pipes

Objectives

• Map and monitor headwater stream located on Kenston campus property

• Establish baseline measurements in a student-run tracking system to monitor stream progress

Steps to Meeting Objectives

• Utilize HHEI to determine stream classification

• Utilize laser levels to determine gradient and bank full width of stream

• Use ORAM Field Form to classify wetlands located near to the stream on Kenston property
