INTRODUCTION
''Electronics is a science about the devices and processes that use electromagnetic
energy conversion to transfer, process, and store energy, signals and data in energy, control,
and computer systems. This science plays an important role in the world's progress.
Implementation of electronic devices in various types of human activity largely contributes to
the development of complex scientific and technical problems, productivity increase in
physical and mental labor, and production of various forms of communications; television,
radiolocation, computer engineering, control and alarm systems, as well as wireless
technology, and others'' (Vodovozov, 2010, p. 8).
At our present time, this science had leveled up into a much more developed and
much more beneficial for all the people living in a community that technology had already
reached. The most influential and used nowadays, is the Wireless Communications. It is the
transfer of information between two or more points that are not connected by an electrical
conductor.
The most common wireless technologies use electromagnetic wireless
telecommunications, such as radio. Some applications of radio wireless technology include

GPS units, wireless computer mice, keyboards, and headsets, headphones, radio, and
cordless telephones.
Wireless operations permit services, that are impossible to implement with the use of
wires. One of the best-known examples of wireless technologiy is the mobile phone, also
known as a cellular phone, with more than 5 billion subscriptions worldwide as of the end of
2012. These wireless phone, use radio waves to enable their users to make phone calls from
many locations worldwide. Some benefits of using wireless technology are: completes the
access technology portfolio, goes where cable and fiber cannot, involves reduced time to
revenue, and provides broadband access extension.
In our everyday developing technologies, we cannot avoid some people's attack
against us. Attackers like hackers and crackers, for the internet world, and holdapers and
thieves, for the physical world. These people that takes advantage of others, not only pose as
a threat in an individual's livelihood or work, but also in their lives. The increasing rate of
criminality in our country is very alarming. Specially in the range of students and business
men and women, being the victims of this criminals. Prevention must be done to improve the
situation and to avoid another increase in the criminal reports. Starting in the school, Colegio
de San Juan de Letran, an experiment and a survey can be conducted with the Letran
Community to improve the prevention of losing gadgets or any techy things that they have.
Students, teachers, and faculty members of private schools and institutions are some of the
most common people being a victim of hold-up or snatchers, for we all know that, some
students going into this institution belongs to the upper class of the society and could easily
afford buying new gadgets and technologies. It is necessary to conduct this experiment to find

a much better and preferable solution to prevent the lost of gadgets without the hope of being
recovered in time.
With a problem like this, usage of Alarm Systems and Devices is the first thing that
comes into mind of everyone. Usage of Alarm Systems to prevent crimes or accidents from
happening by the used of wireless technologies is now popular, specially to some individuals
that are busy. Some alarm systems serve a single purpose of burglary protection;
combination systems provide both fire and intrusion protection. Intrusion alarm systems may
also be combined with closed-circuit television surveillance systems to automatically record
the activities of intruders, and may interface to access control systems for electrically locked
doors. Systems range from small, self-contained noisemakers, to complicated, multi-area
systems with computer monitoring and control. Alarm systems give different kind of signals
about a problem or condition, it can be audible, visual or other form, to alert the victim and
catch the attention of the people in close range.
Dual signalling is a method of alarm transmission that uses a mobile phone network
and a telephone to transmit intruder, fire, and personal attack signals at high-speed from the
protected premises to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). It most commonly uses GPRS or
GSM, a high-speed signalling technology used to send and received 'packets' of data. A dual
signalling system would raise the alarm wirelessly via a radio path (GPRS/GSM) or cellular
path using the phone line or broadband line as a back-up overcoming any compromise to the
phone line. Encoders can be programmed to indicate which specific sensor was triggered,
and monitors can show the physical location (or ''zone'') of the sensor on a list or even a map
of the protected premises which can make the resulting response more effective.

In this present day, there are some applications a person can install in their gadgets to
help avoid accidents, like fire, storm, and even earthquake alarm systems is being invented
and can be installed in mobile phones. A simple tracking device can also be installed in a
gadget to enable the owner to retreived the gadgets if it was lost or stolen.Still, it is much
preferrable if a person can avoid things like this from happening, prevention is better than
cure, as some always say. It is better to prevent gadgets from being lost or stolen and to
catch criminals before they get away with their crime.
