What is a magnet school?

A magnet school is a school of choice. This school has a special focus of study, configuration of grades, or schedule. Magnet schools have the same expectation of high achievement for students that all other Joint School District schools have.

FIRST STEPS:

Check the district's web site for information (look under schools)Obtain application form from web site, school, or magnet director.Fill out application for all family children whom you wish to attend.Send in application to designated place or person.

Lottery will take place in early spring.You will be informed of your child's placement status.If offered placement, reply yes or no.
