Key Stages to a successful Project

PlanningIf you have not obtained planning consent Povey Construction can assist and advise with the process. Working with selected architects and specialist planning consultants, we can help or manage the complete process, helping to get your project off to a stress free start.

QuotationThe importance of experience together with detailed knowledge is key to providing an accurate quotation. At Povey Construction we strive to avoid surprises! A through understanding of our clients requirements coupled with our experience should result in a complete itemised quotation and an accurate project schedule.

ContractAgreeing a contract that comprehensively details the works to be carried out, the timescale & payment plan, and is acceptable to both parties, is not a step that can be omitted. Povey Construction insists on contracts that meet these requirements and are fair and equitable to all. We don’t expect our projects to go wrong, but a sound contract helps gives our clients a better understanding of the project and how it will proceed.

CommunicationPovey Construction understands the need to keep clients informed at all stages. We aim to communicate regularly by phone, email and face-to-face on-site or at the office of the architect. Regular communication helps to ensure our clients understand the “where & why” of the project and keeps them involved.

Professional PartnershipsIf we are not working alongside an architect / project manager appointed by the client, Povey Construction has a close working relationship with selected architectural practices, quantity surveyors and specialist consultants & managers. If requested, we are happy to recommend those that we have worked with when clients do not have their own professionals and advisors.

Delivering the Project From provide a full set of working drawings, liaising with the planning & building control inspectors to managing any specialist subcontractors, Povey Construction will always seek to deliver the project in a structured and professional manner. Keeping the client informed and involved at all stages, managing costs & time scales, and not forgetting professional workmanship, all help to ensure the success of the project - be it a simple residential extension or a large commercial project.

AftercareAt Povey Construction we tackle each and every project with care, taking pride in doing a good job. The end of a project is not the last the client sees of Povey Construction. Even if there are no unnoticed snags to correct, we will schedule a follow-up visit as a courtesy to confirm that all parties are happy with work and the way it was carried out.
