作者簡介作者簡介• Ray Bradbury ， 1920— 出生於美國伊利諾斯州的沃基甘，從小愛讀冒險故事和幻想小說，尤其喜愛根斯巴克主編的《奇異故事》。一九四三年起當專業作家，三年後獲得了「最佳美國短篇小說獎」。他雖然也寫過幾部長篇小說，如《華氏 451 度》也頗著名，但他主要以短篇小說著稱，迄今已出版短篇小說集近二十部，其中較著名的有：《火星紀事》（ 1950 ）、《太陽的金蘋果》（ 1953 ）、《 R 代表火箭》（ 1962 ）、《明天午夜》（ 1966 ）等。 8 月 27 日是近 6 萬年來火星離地球最近的一天，國際行星協會已把這一天定名為『世界火星日』。 8 月 22 日，是世界聞名的科幻小說作家雷 · 布拉德伯裡 (Ray Bradbury)83 歲生日，他的科幻經典《火星紀事》幾乎已譯成全世界各種文字。為了慶祝『世界火星日』以及科幻小說巨匠 83 歲生日，世界各地的天文組織將在 27 日統一行動，開展有關火星的一系列全球性活動。
