INTRODUCTION TO 2015 OPERATING
THEME:- “RENEW OUR DAYS OF OLD”
Lam 5 : 21
FULL GOSPEL BUSINESS MEN’S FELLOWSHIP INTERNATIONAL - GHANA
24th National General Meeting
16th Jan 2015
Operational Theme - 2015
“Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old”. - Lam 5:21
President’s Introduction to the Theme :- “The theme for 2015 is essentially a continuation of the theme for 2014, - “Remember your first love”. That theme has been a wakeupcall to us as individuals and a fellowship to restore our properrelationship with the Lord. The choice of that theme arosefrom our realization that our fellowship today suffers fromdeep complacency, weariness, indifference, and wide
divergence from the original vision” = an admission of departure from the original……..
Back to Basics……
Before the Lamentation :- “Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your
souls” - Jer 6:16 = equivalent of “Remember your 1st love ?
Would there have been a Lamentation if there had been obedience ?
What is our assessment of last year’s theme – individually, as a fellowship?
Reflection :-
The VISION Intensifies, but the BASICS never change
President admitted : - “The nine basic commitments we gaveourselves in 2014 are still relevant today, for the Lord to “renew our days of old.” We said in 2014, that we would:-
1. Re-examine our personal walk with the Lord 2. Repent individually and re-dedicate ourselves to our calling.3. Revisit the FGBMFI Vision and Mission4. Discover our personal callings in the FGBMFI Ministry5. Do things the FGBMFI way as per our manuals and literature.6. Have passion for Jesus Christ and seek first His Kingdom.7. Demonstrate the power of God individually as able ministers in the market place.8. Seek tangible transformation in personal, family, business and social life9. Develop an active prayer life.
President continued:- Brethren our lamentations will not be in vain =Only if we did the basics the Lord’s way?
Reason for Lamentation – our Theme
Need for a sovereign move of God in this wicked day
Evil and darkness is covering the earth and the LIGHT is growing dim
The Church that once burned with holy passion for our Lord
has seemingly lost the savor of her SALT! – Mt 5 : 13-14
Churches are entertainment houses instead of houses of prayer
The bound can’t find freedom, the sick no healing, & the poor no
refuge!
Where are the Intercessors who cry day and night before the Lord –
Isa 62:6
Where is the glorious Church, pure, clean, spotless and without
wrinkles that Christ wants to present to Himself? – Eph 5:27
Next Steps – way forward
The two (2) steps cry unto God 1. “Turn thou us”, means, bring us into a state of reconciliation with thee = Repentance
2. “Renew our days....” means bring back our old, effective and happy days = Restoration
If We Repent; He will Restore
Are We gathered here for Restoration?
Did We Repent before coming?
