In this position, you will be responsible for identifying proper stock targets and implementing strategies to minimize obsolescence and outages. As the ideal candidate, you will have strong critical thinking skills, ability to problem solve, strong Microsoft Excel skills and know how to gather and interpret data. You will liaise with internal and external colleagues to address issues, strategize on solutions and to plan collaboratively on future events like program sets, promotions and holiday/seasonal impacts to demand.

INVENTORY PLANNER

• Track and report on inventory levels and related KPI’s.

• Analyze inventory availability requests from Sales team members and respond with detailed feedback on coverage options.

• Compare inventory levels against forecasted demand and purchase volume to minimize back-orders, outages, and limit over-stocks or obsolescence.

• Recommend and place purchase orders to replenish inventory targets.

• Liaise with vendors to ensure timely / accurate delivery of purchase orders, and when needed coordinate on revising requested dates in accordance with inventory targets.

• Experienced Excel user with ability to use V-lookups & Pivot Tables proficiently.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP system.

• 5 years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, forecasting, or similar role.

• Bachelor’s degree.

Profile

• Coordinate with internal and external Sales team members on program transitions, item launches, promotional and seasonal strategies to ensure proper coverage and timely fulfillment.

• Track the results of launches and promotional strategies to make recommendations on future improvements.

• Track and report on forecast KPI’s and monitor forecast accuracy.

• Liaise with Sales team to address forecast inaccuracies and acquire consistent updates to projections based on performance and/or program changes.

• Analyze retailer sales and inventory data to identify trends and measure sell-thru against sell-in to ensure forecasts accurately reflect customer demand.

• Manage Direct Fulfillment programs including order entry, delivery scheduling, communicating expectations to vendors and retailers, and adherence to retailer / vendor / carrier guidelines.
