What happened

• Air Air is made of tiny particles that are in constant motion

• The popping of the syringe when you pull the gray portion out is what happens when you lower the air pressure, you get a vibration and the noise is the air going back into the syringe.

Results:

• Blue cube-Blue cube- when you compress/squish down the syringe the blue cube gets smaller inside the syringe.

• Grey cube-Grey cube- made of foam and doesn’t compress because there are holes so the particles can equalize.

• No matter what you do …the air in the blue cube has trapped particles- the cube responds differently because of its structure
