EGG CONTESTS: #1 Entry consists of 6 eggs. Entry fee is $ 3. Classes are: brown eggs, white eggs, colored
eggs , mixed colored eggs, #2 Best Dyed/Decorated egg (1 only), #3 Best “Displayed” egg (1 only) and #4 heaviest
chicken egg (1 only). The eggs are judged on uniformity in size, shape and color (in the mixed classes uniformity of
each color). The eggs will be returned to you, they will not be broken nor shaken. Prize for each category.
BARN YARD CLASSIC: A PEOPLES CHOICE EVENT WITH A 50/50 RAFFLE ATTACHED The Barn Yard Classic
is a fun class of birds, your surprises, mistakes or experiments. This bird is sort of a chicken soup of breeding
genetics, a bird of back yard wonderment. It is possibly your barn yard favorite, not necessarily show quality. The
only rules; birds must be tested or from a tested flock, must be healthy and clean (no pig pen entries) and not a
recognized show bird. Entry fee is $ 4.00 per bird; limit two (2) entries per exhibitor. We encourage you to
provide a name to add personality to your bird. You can also provide some insight as to how the bird was created.
There are two parts: Barnyard Classic: How do we pick the winning bird? The winners will be picked by popular
vote. Winning bird will get 50% of the Barn Yard Classic entry money
1) Tickets will be sold to be used as ballots and a raffle ticket. The tickets will be $1 each or ten for $5.00.
Ballots (tickets) will be sold . You vote for your favorite chicken and can vote as many times as you wish. The
winning BARN YARD bird is picked by popular vote.
2) BARNYARD CLASSIC RAFFLE: Once we pick the Barn Yard Bird ; all the ballots are put in one bag, and we pull
out a ticket for the cash door prize. The prize money will be on a 50/50 basis based on all tickets sold.
BIRD RAFFLE: Silent bird auction. All items will have a minimum bid.
We are looking for pairs, trios. We will also accept birds on consignment where we will split the bid. For example you‘d like to offer a nice pair of birds but wish to set a minimum bid at say $ 40, If we get it we split the $40. If no one bids the minimum bid; then you take the birds home.
FERTILE EGG AUCTION: Fertile hatching eggs (please put your name on egg box and identify breed and variety). We also need fertile egg donations for the high school embryology class.
NEW THIS SPRING… its KENTUCKY DUCKY DERBY DAY!!!!: We will be running a
Kentucky Ducky Derby today with special runner ducks. There will be 7 competitive ducks that will run in
three races. We will pick 2 winners in each race; 1st prize $50, 2nd prize $ 20. Your ticket will get you into 3
races; so 6 chances to win. If you win all three races you win the “Triple Crown”….. and $ 200. Tickets are $10
( for 3 races) Each of your tickets will be assigned a square on a board with the duck numbers across top
and down the side making a grid (football squares). Winning #’s across the tops and second place duck
number on the side. So if duck #7 wins and duck # 2 is second , we go 7 across top of grid and down 2 and
then name in the square wins $50. Then we take the reverse numbers ie 2, 7 and that is 2nd place winner for
$ 20. You will be assigned a different square for each race. There are a total of 42 squares/tickets sold; if not
all are sold it will be a 50/50. Sample race board below. Don’t forget your derby hat $10 prize for best
