I/O8+ Cable Specifications

The I/O8+ ports are wired for RS232 with RJ12 connectors. The pinouts of these are:

Pin 3 $"TR/RTS& 4 if the port is used for a )ode) connection6 this sina! acts as"TR6 i.e. it wi!! 5e dropped when the I/O8+ wants the )ode) to disconnect. If theport is 5ein used for a !oca! connection with hardware 7ow contro!6 the sina!acts as RTS6 i.e. it is nor)a!!* hih6 5ut if the input 5uers 5eco)e fu!! it wi!! 5edropped to te!! the other end to stop sendin data.

Pin 0 $#TS& 4 this sina! is on!* used when hardware handsha9in is set. It is aninput to the I/O8+ and is nor)a!!* 9ept hih. The de(ice at the other end of the!ine wi!! drop the sina! if it wants the I/O8+ to stop sendin data.
