The Mackie FreePlay Personal PA uses Bluetooth technology to allow wireless control via an iPhone/iPod Touch or Android device with the FreePlay Connect app. You can also use simple Bluetooth connectivity to stream music from any Bluetooth enabled device.
Here are the steps to get your FreePlay connected to your iPhone or iPod touch.
1. From your home screen, select the Set-tings app.
2. From the Setting screen, select Bluetooth.

3. In the Bluetooth Settings screen, move the slider to the right to enable Blue-tooth.
4. On the top right of your screen next to the battery indicator your iPhone/iPod Touch will display a gray Bluetooth icon.

6. Your iPhone/iPod touch will automatically detect and display the FreePlay on the Devices list.
5. Press and hold the BT/ Aux button on the Mackie FreePlay rear panel. The but-ton LED will illuminate and flash white while in pairing mode. While FreePlay is in pairing mode, simultaneously scan for Bluetooth devices on your iPhone/iPod Touch. You will have 60 seconds to establish the Bluetooth connection. The LED will blink until a connection is made.

7. Select the FreePlay on your Devices list.
8. Once pairing is complete, your FreePlay is ready to playback audio. The Bluetooth icon will now display in a solid back color.

9. Now open your Music App for audio play-back.
10. Now you are ready to play some music from you iPhone or iPod touch to your FreePlay.
