1 Introduction
Thank you for choosing the IPV-01E as your broadband access solution. This manual will help
you with the setup and configuration of your product.
1.1 IPV-01 Series Overview
IPV-01 Series can play a role of 1-port VDSL2 COT ( Central Office Terminal) or RT (Remote
Terminal). IPV-01 Series uses profile 30a to deliver downstream 200 Mbps and upstream up to
100 Mbps traffic on short loops.
It is designed to support the wide deployment of high speed connection and offers the user many
advanced services such as voice, high speed data, and video on demand. Such application is
suitable to use on residential and enterprise for broadband high speed service demand on
downstream and upstream direction. The application scenario is shown as below.

2 Hardware Setup and Startup
WARNING INSTRUCTIONS
Before installing IPV-01E, the following safety instructions must be complied.
1. All installation, repair or replacement procedures must be performed by qualified service
personnel.
2. The maximum recommended operating temperature for the IPV-01E is 45ºC.
Care must be taken to allow sufficient air circulation.
3. The connections and equipment that supply power to the IPV-01E should be capable of
operating safely within the maximum power requirements of the IPV-01E.
4. Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord, and do not locate the product where the
power cord can be stepped on. Do not touch exposed connections, components or wiring
when power is present.
5. To reduce the risk of fire or any other malfunction and damages to the IPV-01E, use the
cables and power adapter provided in the package.
6. Do not operate this product with panels removed or with suspected failure or damage to
electrical components.
77.. IPV-01E is not water-proofed. Never place or install the product in a wet location unless
specially designed waterproof protection is present.
iTAS will not be responsible for any damages or injuries to the IPV-01E DPU, environment, or
operating personnel if any of the safety instructions described above are violated or operating the
device in the non-recommended conditions.

2.1.1.5 Reset button
Reset button in the front panel can be used to reset the device settings to default configuration.

2.2 Accessory Parts check
Check the following items in your package. Contact our sales representatives if any item is
missing or damaged.

Using a power supply with a different voltage rating will damage and void the warranty for this product.

3 EmWeb Setup and Startup
System preparation
IPV-01E contains 2 modes: CO and CPE, therefore there are 2 management IP ports for CO and
CPE, respectively.
Before configure the IPV-01E, please ensure as below:
Set your computer’s IP with the same network mask of management port of the IPV-01E (For
example: if you connect to CO management port, its default management IP is
10.0.0.1/255.255.255.248; if you connect to CPE management port, its default management IP is
10.0.0.2/255.255.255.248)
Then you can set computer’s IP to: 10.0.0.3~5/255.255.255.0.
Some default settings in IPV-01E:

1. To access Web on the IPV-01E, one has to connect to the management port and enter URL
below at web browser.
The default IP address of the ports:
CO management port: http://10.0.0.1
CPE management port: http://10.0.0.2
2. If you first time login the Web, the default User name/Password as follows:
User Name: admin

Login to CO mode: Login to CPE mode:

Web provides a series of web pages that you can use to setup and configure the IPV-01E.
These pages are organized into six main topics. You can select each of the following topics from
the menu on the left-hand side of the main window:
- Status: information about the current device status.
- LAN: LAN interface settings.
- WAN: VTU-O DSL settings of WAN.
- Diagnostics: ping and DSL tone.
- Admin: commit/reboot, CO/CPE, backup/restore, system log, password, F/W upgrade.
- Statistics: interface, VTU-O DSL (CO mode), DSL (CPE mode).
The changes made via web pages will immediately reflect in all elements of the network.
The exact information displayed on each web page depends on the specific configuration that
you are using. The following sections give you a general overview of the setup and configuration
details.

3.1 Status
This page simply shows the current device status and some basic settings of the device.
User will be able to refresh the device status by clicking on “Refresh” button, otherwise the
status will be refreshed every 10 seconds.

3.2 LAN
This page is used to configure the LAN interface of IPV-01E. User can change the settings for IP
address, subnet mask, IGMP snooping. Enter the desired data into the specified fields and click
“Apply Changes” button to save the settings.

3.3 WAN
This page is used to configure the parameters for VTU-O (CO mode) or bands (CPE mode)
of IPV-01E.
Please note if “Software switch” in Admin menu is disabled, user cannot modify this page.
User can modify the Line, Channel, INM (Impulse Noise Monitor) profiles in this page. Enter
the desired data into the specified fields and click “Apply Changes” button to save the
settings.

3.4 Diagnostics
Click on Diagnostics menu, the following options appear:
3.4.1 Ping
This page is used to send ICMP ECHO_REQUEST packets to network host. The diagnostic
result will then be displayed. Enter the host address and click on “Go!” button do display the
diagnostic result.

3.4.2 DSL Tone
This page is used for DSL Tone diagnostics. Only ADSL2/ADSL2+/VDSL support this
function. The tone number is displayed from 0~255.

Press “Start” button to start DSL tone diagnostic. The test result will take about 3 minutes,
please wait while it is processing:

3.5 Admin
Click on Admin menu, the following options appear:
3.5.1 Commit/Reboot
This page is used to commit changes to system memory and reboot the system. Simply
click on “Commit and Reboot” to activate this function.
3.5.2 CO/CPE
This page is used to switch between the CO and CPE mode. User must decide
whether to enable the software switch. If the software switch is enabled, the DIP
switch will be disabled. Enter the desired data into the specified fields and click “Apply
Changes” button to save the settings. After the mode is changed, device will reboot. Please
wait while device is rebooting.

3.5.3 Backup/Restore
This page is used to backup current settings to a file or restore the settings from the file
which was saved previously. User also can reset the current settings to factory default.
Click on “Backup…” button to backup settings to file. User can set the file path. When
settings are to be restored from a file, click on “Browse…” button to find the file path, and
click on the “Restore” button to restore the settings.
Click on “Reset” button to reset settings to default.
To reset VTUO and VTUR settings to default, click on “ResetAll” button.
3.5.4 System Log
This page is used to set the system log. User can either disable or enable the system log
function. After setting log level and display level, click on “Apply Changes” to save the
settings. User can also save log into a file by setting the file path through “Save…” button.
Clear the log by clicking on “Reset” button. System log can be refreshed by clicking on
“Refresh” button.

3.5.5 Password
This page is used to set the account to access the web server of the router. Empty user
name and password will disable the protection. Enter the desired options into the specified
fields and click “Apply Changes” button to save the settings or reset the fields by clicking on
the “Reset” button.
3.5.6 Firmware Upgrade
This page is used to upgrade the firmware to the newer version. Please note that do not
power off the device during the upload because this make the system unbootable. If it
happens accidentally, please contact customer service for further assistance.
User can select the firmware file by using “Browse…” button. After the firmware file is
selected, click on the “Upgrade” button to start the upgrade process, or click on the “Reset”
button to reset the file path selected.

3.6 Statistics
Click on Statistics menu, the following options appear:

3.6.1 Interface
This page is used to show the packet statistics for transmission and reception regarding to
network interface. Click on “Refresh” button to refresh the statistics or “Reset Statistics” to
clear and reset the statistics data.

3.6.2 VTU-O DSL (In CO Mode)
This page is used to display the VTU-O DSL statistics. Click on “Stop Auto-Refresh” button
to stop the auto-refresh.
