It is my pleasure to release the current issue of IQAC newsletter

.The contribution and dedication of faculty members, students

and nonteaching staff of ABESEC is continuously helping the

newsletter to groom in each publication for achieving new mile

stones.The newsletter is becoming popular among the readers as

it is a perfect platform forhighlighting various activities undertaken in the college

campus for the past six months. The initiatives of IQAC in promoting and enhancing

quality culture is prominent as it under takes and reviews quality promotional

activities to develop high end quality in all the activities of the college.

The newsletter also brings information regarding activities of the departments that

have been commenced such as certificate and diploma courses under taken by

faculty and students ,research funded by the state , central governments, leading

academic bodies and industry ; glimpses of value addition programmes ,Seminars,

Workshops , Conferences , Research publications ,Professional development

programmes, MoUs , Extension out reach programmes, Guest lectures , Industrial

visits ,Staff development programmes and sports and cultural activities.

I wish the readers to go through the newsletter and encourage the team of IQAC to

work for you and to bring further issues of the newsletter to your table informing the

quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

Quality Initiative taken by IQAC

1. The IQAC of ABES Engineering College, in association with the Mechanical Engineering Department conducted

a two days Quality Improvement Seminar entitled “Nurturing Excellence in Academics” on 14th & 15th November

2019. Almost 50 faculty members from various departments attended this seminar. The Resource Person for the

session was Dr Navneet Arora, Sr. Professor, IIT Roorkee and Dr Sunil Pandey, Professor, IIT Delhi. The Program was

coordinated by Arun Pratap (Sr. Assistant Prof.) and Amit Singh (Assistant Prof.), ME Department.

2. ABES Engineering College- IQAC Cell in collaboration with value education cell organized a Staff

Development Program on “Understanding Science of relationship through Self exploration” from 25th

to 29th November 2019. The resource person for the session was Mr. Gopal Babu ji & Ms. Manishi

Mishra. The program was coordinated by Ms. Deepali Dev, Sr. Assistant Professor, IT department.

3. The IQAC of ABES Engineering College in association with the MCA Department conducted a two days

Workshop entitled “Basic Computer Education” for the support staff from 3rd to 4th December 2019.

The program was coordinated by Mr. Vinod Kumar, Sr. Assistant Professor, MCA department.

Entrepreneurship Development @ABESEC

Training Programmes at ABESEC under DST-NIMAT Project :

(a) iNurture incubation foundation organized 4 weeks Entrepreneurship Development Programme at Advance

Computer Education Institute, Bulandshahr (U.P.) from 19th Nov. to 16th Dec. 2019. The programme was

organized for science graduates and 25 candidates were selected through interview process from the

district. Young entrepreneurs, bank official, chartered accountant and other government officials delivered

their valuable talks in the programme.

(b) The department has organized 4 weeks Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme only for girls

and women of science stream at A.K. Tech Computer Institute, Rampur Garden, Bareilly (U.P.) from 22nd Nov.

to 19th Dec. 2019. Through this programme the participants were encouraged to start their own enterprise.

25 female candidates of district were trained in area of entrepreneurship.

(c) 4 weeks Entrepreneurship Development Programmewas organized at Vidya Institute of Computer

Education, Swarg Ashram Road, Hapur from 26th Nov. 2019 to 23rd Dec. 2019. Young youth of science were

successfully trained in area of entrepreneurship. Industry visit was also organized for the participants. The

participants were given knowledge in area of entrepreneurship, banking, company registration process,

entrepreneurial competencies, financial and marketing management and other government schemes for

startups.
