NIR in India has been named as Indian Registry for Internet Names and Numbers (IRINN), is operational from Dec, 2012.

As on 15th Sep, 2014, total 684 plus organizations(including 174 organizations transferred from APNIC) joined IRINN.

Most of our affiliates are small and medium scale Organizations.

IRINN delegated IPv4 more than /11 where as IPv6 delegated more than /25.

Most of the Banks and Universities are approaching us seeking to become

affiliate & with request for IPv6 .

In line with Global and APNIC policies.

IRINN holds Affiliate meeting annually to discuss the Policy framework.

IRINN adopted the IPv4 transfer Policy similar to APNIC.

( Five IRINN affiliates have opted for “RIR (APNIC) to NIR (IRINN) IPv4 Transfer ”.)

IRINN also adopted ASN transfer policy similar to APNIC.

NIXI co-hosted the SANOG 2014 and ArIGF 2014 from 01 to 06 August, 2014 in Greater Noida , India.

Launch of . भा�रत Domain name in Devanagari script by Hon'ble MCIT and Law & Justice Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad on 27 August,2014.

IRINN Affiliate meeting is supposed to be held in Nov, 2014. It will followed by IPv6 training and IRINN Whois database management training.
