Irish Water recently conducted a review of the agglomeration population equivalent for Paulstown. The current population equivalent of the agglomeration is estimated to be 881 P.E based on 2011 CSO population data and a 10% non-domestic factor, The population equivalent for the agglomeration in 2020 is estimated to be 902 P.E, based on an average annual growth rate of O.406Yo1 per annum for 6 years. There are currently no operational issues with the wastewater treatment plant. Irish Water currently have no plans to upgrade the plant. Irish Water recently conducted a review of the agglomeration population equivalent for Paulstown. Irish Water submitted an Appropriate Assessement Screening Report for the Paulstown Agglomeration by way of Unsolicited Correspondence to the EPA on 7 August 2014.

Please see attached Tables F.l(i)(a)&(b) -Monitoring of receiving environment. There are no secondary discharges therefore Tables F.L(ii)(a) & (b) are not provided.

There are no Drinking Water abstraction points below the Paulstown agglomeration discharge.

G.1 Compliance with Council Directives

The WWrP currently complies with all relevant legislative requirements.

Noting that the Barrow Race and River is a S.A.C., complete the flow diagram in Circular L8/08 'Water Setvices Investment and Rural Water Programmes - Protection of Natural Heritage and National Monuments' issued by the DoEHLG, to determine if an appropriate assessment is required. Provide details of answers to each section of this flow diagram. If an appropriate assessment is required, forward a copy of the report an the assessment.

Irish Water submitted an Appropriate Assessernent (NIS) Report for the Paulstown Agglomeration by way of Unsolicited Correspondence to the EPA on 7 August 2014.

Provide full assimilative capacity calculations for all parameters for both current and future treatment capacity. Provide clarification as to how the effluent standard will ensure compliance with the water quality standards as set out in the European Communities Environmental Objectives (Surface Waters) Regulations 2009 (SI. No. 272 of 2009).

Please see attached Table 1 the waste assimilative capacity calculations.
