Member Spotlight on LT. COL. Andrew Field

don’t forget to pay your 2014 dues.

Field was responsible for 10 new mem-

bers joining the Association in 2013.

When asked how he accomplished this

he said, “I had such a great experience

at the reunion! I met two veterans

from my battalion and I shared their

stories with Soldiers during training. I

made membership applications avail-

able and encouraged Soldiers to join.”

Right (L to R): Staff Sgt. Mason West,

D/2-378, Walter Blenko (E/378, WWII),

Col. Tony Wright, 2-378 past com-

mander, Lt. Col. Andrew Field, 2-378,

current commander, and David Ley-

shon, (K/378, WWII) during the 64th

Reunion in Arlington, Texas. Leyshon

was with the 378 at Moselle and Metz.

Blenko was in the fighting with 378

subsequent to Metz. Coincidentally,

Field had just happened to have the

Metz and Moselle flag streamers made

prior to the reunion.

I can hear the big 'uns screech and scream, As they go flying o'er my head;

They seem to say both night and day, "Remember ... the dead ... the dead."
