Term 1, Week 10, 5th April 2019

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Shade Cover

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for "playing their part" in our shade cover over AusPlay journey. It is finally completed thanks to ongoing support from the P&C, a grant from AGL and fundraising contributions from our whole school community. The children absolutely love it and we are now happy in the knowledge that our children are being active under a sun safe cover. Teacher meetings Please ensure that if you need to contact a staff member regarding any issue, you ring the office and let them know. They will pass on your information to the relevant staff member, who will contact you back to discuss the issue or make a meeting time. All staff have a duty of care for all children at all times and are therefore unable to have side conversations with you on the spot. Thank you for your consideration of our staff and all the students in their supervision.

Toilets ONLY enrolled students are able to enter the K-2 or 3-6 toilets at ANY time for ANY reason. If you are a visitor to the school, whether it be adult, younger sibling etc. you must report to the office and use the visitor toilet there. Early Mornings Although it is great to see our students eager to be at school every single day, please be aware that there is NO ONE on duty to supervise your child until 8.25am. Please do support us in keeping everyone safe by ensuring your child is not too early or too late to school. With holidays fast approaching and many activities and learning experiences still happening at school, this is a timely reminder to check your child's bags for notes and payments. Our Facebook page and school website are also good avenues for reminders. Sincerely,

There have been lots of fun events at IPS over the past fortnight. The handball competition was a HUGE success and thank you to all the students who have been buying Stewart House handballs. Thank you to all the people who participated in the handball competition and the out of uniform day to help raise money for Stewart House with a gold coin donation. Just a reminder that on Wednesday the Easter Hat Parade is on and we can’t wait to see your crazy designs. Be on the look out, as there will be a special visitor bouncing around. After the amazing school holidays we will be holding an ANZAC Day assembly on the 30th April 2019. Parents are welcome to attend. Finally, the school holidays are right around the corner. Woo Hoo! Two weeks of family fun and lots of yummy chocolate for Easter, hope you all have fun and stay safe during the holidays. Thanks for a great Term 1
