Dear applicant fellowship group,

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding membership of the

International Scout Fellowship - ISF world council

To become a member please follow our application process detailed

below. This will give us an understanding of who you are, where you

are from and how you operate within your association. We both need

time to become familiar with each other’s methods and procedures

prior to membership commencing.

The ISF will only accept applications from associations whose activi-ties comply with the ISF-Constitution (see attachment). Before com-

mencing the application process please ensure that your

association bylaws, activities and all related procedures comply with

our guidelines and bylaws, as this is compulsory for an application.

The official language of the ISF is English and Spanish.

The ISF is a member of the WFIS-Worldwide.

Application Process:

From the date of receipt of your application form and related

documentation you will have the status of prospective member. Thismeans you can participate in ISF activities and are free to

invite ISF member groups to your own activities. During

your prospective membership - including the general assembly at

which your application is voted on - you cannot take part at the an-

nual general assembly. You will be informed by the steering

committee as soon as your application has been approved and full

voting membership commences.

The annual assembly is at the end of January each year. The

application form must be sent in before October 1st of the previous

year, to ensure your application could be presented to the member

associations at the next assembly. Your application will be voted on at

the next but one general assembly. A confirmation letter from the

steering committee will inform you of the general assembly at which

your application will be considered and voted on.

Within in this document you will find a list of questions, which relate

to your initial application.

Also attached is a list of required materials and information regarding

the ISF (e.g. bylaws, training handbooks etc.).

Example:

· Year A prior to October 1st - Receipt of application and all

other required information

· Year A until December 31st – You will receive a

confirmation letter from the steering committee that your

application and the required information has arrived and

complies with the ISF guidelines and rules.· Year A+1 – Your association will be introduced through

the steering committee at the annual general assembly.

· Year A+1 – Your association will have the status of

applicant member and this is the time for mutual

invitations and meetings to get to know each other.

· Year A+2 – Your application will be voted on at the general

assembly. Your application will be accepted or rejected.
