The Vision of ICD is to become a premier Islamic multilateral financial institution for the development of the private sector.
The Mission of ICD is to complement the roleplayed by the IDB through the development andpromotion of the private sector as a vehicle forboosting economic growth and prosperity.
VISION MISSION
The objectives of ICD are:
• To identify opportunities in the private sectorthat could function as engines of growth andto provide them with a wide range offinancial products and services
• To encourage the development of Islamicfinancing and capital markets
OBJECTIVESICD started its operations in July 2000 and hasfinanced projects in agriculture, construction,education, finance, infrastructure (includingenergy and health care), oil & gas, real estate, andtrade, where ICD has approved investments inmore than 50 countries.
ICD has also extended lines of financing to banksand financial institutions and established Islamicfinancial institutes in its member countries.
ICD extended advisory services to private & publicsectors and manages investment funds

ICD supports the development of member countries byinvesting in companies seeking capital expansion. The Equityinvestment can be through capital increases or buyouts. ICDfinances the feasible projects which has competentmanagement, sound corporate governance framework and aclear developmental impact.
