WHAT IS CORONA VIRUS AND WHAT DOES IT DO?

These are tiny bugs/creations of Allah who listen to Allah’s commands because Allah has control over everything including the virus.

It makes people sick, kind of like when you get cold or flu.

Most people who get sick because of the corona virus stay at home and get better because Allah has made special tiny little protectors in our bodies called white blood cells, that fight off diseases.

HOW DOES IT SPREAD?

It can spread from a person who has it if they are close to another person, even if they are not touching because it can jump little distances if the person coughs or breathes out.

It can also spread if someone touches their mouth or nose and then touches things that other people will be touching.

WHY IS ALLAH MAKING THIS HAPPEN? Allah sends the virus to us as a form of test or punishment.

When a person is tested with sickness, they will get huge rewards and their ranks in Jannah will be raised if they are patient and remember Allah.

However, if they are not patient and do not remember Allah, this is a punishment of Allah and they will not be rewarded.

There is a verse in the Quran (65:12) that reminds us that Allah sends down a calamity to remind us that He has power over everything.

HOW TO COPE WITH WORRIES-WILL EVERYONE GET SICK?

Feeling worried about the corona virus and how it might affect people you love is absolutely normal.

Worrying a little is good for us, because it will help us be careful not to spread it or catch it.

We don’t have to carry them around like a heavy load, you can pass it on to Allah to carry it for you.

AND HOW CAN WE DO THAT?

HOW CAN WE PASS OUR WORRIES TO ALLAH?

Talk to Allah. Make Du’aa.

Ask him to take care of the things that are worrying you.

It’s a wonderful feeling if you do it with all your heart, to leave things to Allah, who has all the power over everything, and who is by your side, loving and protecting you.

The Prophet (Sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Allah the Most High said, ‘I am as My servant thinks (expects) I am. I am with him when he mentions Me. If he mentions Me to himself, I mention him to Myself; and if he mentions Me in an assembly, I mention him in an assembly greater than it. If he draws near to Me a hand’s length, I draw near to him an arm’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.’”

You can talk to him in your own way, and you can also make the powerful Du’aas that some of the prophets made when they were having troubles.

Duaa of Prophet Musa for any good

WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO? Washing our hands often with soap,especially when we come from outside.

Making Wudoo often

Sneezing or coughing into a tissue and then throwing it away.

Social distancing-because if we all stay home, the bug cant find anyone to catch!

Things to do When you’re home There is lot of things you can do beside your school work.

Do good deeds- helping your parents, praying to Allah, making dhikr etc.

Learn something, as a family everyday-Like reading prophet’s stories, ahadeeth etc.

Go out for a walk/drive

Get creative- write stories, get crafty, paint, cook etc.
