THE PRODUCTIsoRubber Top is a blend of reconstituted rubberand cork formed with a polyurethane binder.
The granules are sourced from very high grademanufacturing waste (medical and foodproduction), while the cork is from managedEuropean sources.
Because of this unique mix, the product canaccommodate direct application of most typicaldecorative overlays, including carpet, laminateor timber, vinyl sheet and ceramic tiles.
IsoRubber Top is produced in a standard 3mmthickness, but other thickness’ and roll sizes canbe made to order.
PERFORMANCE DATA
TECHNICAL BENEFITSThis mix of organically produced materials offers a number oftechnical benefits over many of its petrochemical derivative rivals:
a) High KINETIC ENERGY (sound vibration) absorption combinedwith negligible short and long term compressibility;
b) Compatibility with the most commonly used floor finishingmaterials;
c) Resistance to temporary foot traffic exposure;
d) Attractive appearance for "Sales" finishing purposes.
ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITSBoth rubber and cork are natural "tree harvest" materials which arenot only sustainable but increase the need for tree plantation andmanagement.
Rubber, however, biodegrades slowly and therefore the use ofrecycled industrial waste into a new long term application provides, initself, a considerable environmental benefit.
Isorubber products are also usedin Thermal Economic’s IsosonicSystems for screeded overlaysolutions for precast concrete andtimber floors between appartmentsto Approved Document ‘E’ 2003.
