Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1. Citation

These regulations are the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Management of Well Operations) Amendment Regulations 2008.

2. Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows — (a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these

regulations are published in the Gazette; (b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3. Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Management of Well Operations) Regulations 2006.

4. Regulation 6 amended

In regulation 6(2) delete “defendant” and insert:

Liquor Control (Australia Day Special Event) Notice 2009

Made by the Minister for Racing and Gaming under sections 126E(2) and 155(6)(a) of the Act.

1. Citation

This notice is the Liquor Control (Australia Day Special Event) Notice 2009.

2. Declaration of Australia Day special event

(1) For the purposes of the Act, the event known as the Lotterywest Australia Day Skyworks 2009 is declared to be a special event.

(2) The declaration under subclause (1) has effect only — (a) during the period that begins at 8 a.m. and ends at

midnight on 26 January 2009; and (b) in respect of the area described in Schedule 1.

3. Map of area of Australia Day special event may be inspected

A map depicting the area described in Schedule 1 is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor, Level 1, 87 Adelaide Terrace, East Perth.

Schedule 1 — Area of Australia Day special event [cl. 2(2)(b)]

The area referred to in clause 2(2)(b) is that portion of land and water, including all parks, reserves, roads, streets, bridges, paths, footbridges, underpasses and jetties bounded by lines —

starting from the point on the shore of the Swan River where a notional extension of the south side of the footbridge over the Kwinana Freeway from the shore to Melville Parade between Hardy Street and Charles Street in South Perth meets the river;

then easterly along that notional extension across the Kwinana Freeway and along the south side of that footbridge and along a notional extension of that south side to the east side of Melville Parade;

then northerly along the east side of Melville Parade to the south side of Judd Street;

Made by the Chief Dangerous Goods Officer, Malcolm Paul Russell. 1. Citation This notice may be cited as the Dangerous Goods Safety Exemption Notice 2009. 2. Exemption (1) Pursuant to section 22 of the Dangerous Goods Safety Act 2004 (“Act”) the following class of persons is exempt from the conditions imposed by sub-regulation 88(1) of the Dangerous Goods Safety (Storage and Handling of Non-explosives) Regulations 2007 (“Regulations”)—

Any person operating a dangerous goods pipeline that has been registered by the pipeline’s owner in accordance with regulation 89 of the Regulations.

(2) This exemption will take effect from 1 March 2009 and will remain in force until 28 February 2010, unless amended or cancelled pursuant to section 22(4) of the Act.

DANGEROUS GOODS SAFETY EXEMPTION NOTICE (NO. 2) 2009 Made by the Chief Dangerous Goods Officer, Malcolm Paul Russell. 1. Citation This notice may be cited as the Dangerous Goods Safety Exemption Notice (No. 2) 2009. 2. Exemption (1) Pursuant to section 22 of the Dangerous Goods Safety Act 2004 (“Act”) the following class of persons is exempt from the conditions imposed by sub-regulation 89(2)(a) of the Dangerous Goods Safety (Storage and Handling of Non-explosives) Regulations 2007 (“Regulations”)—

Persons operating a major hazard facility (as defined in the Dangerous Goods Safety (Major Hazard Facility) Regulations 2007) that has an associated external pipeline forming part of the facility, where that pipeline has been included in the facility’s safety report (required by Part 5 of the Dangerous Goods Safety (Major Hazard Facility) Regulations 2007).

(2) This exemption will take effect from 1 March 2009 and will remain in force until 28 February 2010, unless amended or cancelled pursuant to section 22(4) of the Act.

I, Martin Paul Bond, Acting Superintendent being the delegated officer of the Minister for Transport under Section 83(6) of the Road Traffic Act 1974, pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 83(1) of
