APRIL HOLIDAY PROGRAM
Welcome back to all our families, we hope everyone had a great Easter and a nice break from school. We had a busy two weeks at OSHC and have enjoyed the quieter week this week to bring us in to term 2!
Over the fortnight the children enjoyed an excursion to Village Cinemas and incursions from the Ultimate Games video truck and the giant wipe-out inflatable. The kids showed off their STEM skills on our science & techie day, their creativity on Art Attack and their cooking skills during our Candyland Carnival where each child got to take home a box filled with the most delicious looking treats we had ever seen! We finished off the holidays with an Easter Egg-stravangaza, filled with chocolate, party games, a jumbo Easter hunt and lots more.
We hope all children who attended over the holidays had as much fun as we did and we look forward to seeing you all again next holidays. Check out some photos on page 3. MOTHER’S DAY BREAKFAST
Our annual Mother’s Day breakfast will be held on Friday, May 10 from 7.30am.
All OSHC mums, sisters, aunties and grandmothers are invited to come along. Flyers are available from the sign-in area - please add your name to the list if you will be attending, to help us with catering.
We look forward to seeing you then! FEES & INVOICES
Invoices for care in week ending 21/4/19 were emailed out this week with payment due Friday, May 3. If you have any queries, please contact Britt at the school office or email [email protected] with any queries.
To ensure your care for term 2 is not affected, please ensure your account is up to date by the date mentioned above. CARE REQUIREMENTS TERM 2
Our waiting lists for permanent and casual bookings are bigger than we have ever experienced so it is vital that any families whose care requirements have changed over the holidays let us know as soon as possible. This also includes cancelling care with us much notice as possible to allow families waiting on care to book in. TERM 2 - 5 WEEK MENU PLAN
Heather has once again created a healthy and delicious menu for the first 5 weeks of term. The menu plan can be viewed here.
OSHC STUDENT COUNCIL
Our first meeting for term 2 will be next Tuesday at 8.30am in the Green room. An important item on the Agenda will be the presentation of the student badges. If your child will not be attending BSC next Tuesday, it would be great if you could drop them off for the meeting. OSHC ECO WARRIORS
Our little band of warriors have been powering on over the holidays and have already had their first meeting for the term.
The year 5 and 6 students are currently working on the first issue of the Eco Newsletter so watch this space! RUNNING AROUND AUSTRALIA
We did our best to keep moving around Australia over the holidays, with a number of laps ran, walked and even ridden around the oval!
Laps: 507 Total distance: 1,224km
Where on the map: Herons Creek (30kms from Port Macquarie)
OPEN DAY
The Open Day for new families in 2020 will take place on Saturday, May 4 from 10am-1pm. We will also be showcasing our OSHC program during the morning. If you have a little one starting prep next year who will be attending OSHC, please call in to say hi. WOOLWORTHS EARN AND LEARN
Woolworths Earn and Learn is back, starting next week. Please bring in any stickers to OSHC to help us provide some wonderful new resources for our program. A box will be set-up near the sign in book. PREPS
This week the prep students have been walking themselves to and from class each day. They have been enjoying their newfound independence but we are keeping a close eye on them (from a safe distance).
All prep teachers have been given an updated list of students attending OSHC each day. Please remember to advise OSHC and your child’s teacher if your child will not be attending ASC.
