EDITORIAL

What we face now

Our Mother Earth is sick right now and what is sadabout this reality is that only few dare to cure its sick-

ness

Yes almost everybody dreams of having a perfectplace to live in- a place that would somehow give them

ease and comfort

Nevertheless our government has never been tiredof making proposals and planning to make a healthyenvironment In addition there are also many of thenon-government organizations like Green PeaceMovement which have been passionate in advocatingcampaigns and educating people on the value of

protecting our environment

Everyone hopes that sooner or later we will find therealizations of our dreamsmdash to live in a paradise-like

place

Hence Dr Florentino H Hornedo said yesterdaythat ldquoHope is not just a wish It is something that we

have to work forrdquo

Indeed today is not yet too late If everyone will do

our share everything will be possible

It was from the start an

apprehension of uncertaintyoupled by a little fear withots of what ifs a feeling wherene is filled with so many

questions beginning with whatwill happen to the trip will itwill be bumpy or fine eitherase surely this one will beiring Will it be one spent

worthwhile Aside fromaking a respite from the workoads in school and otherbligations an ordinary collegenstructors often are busyingabout will good things come

ut from this So many initialquestions I havenrsquot have sureanswers yet I did not evenbrushed elbows before withhe identif ied student

delegation The StudentRepublic of our school washosen to attend the seminar

Nevertheless this calls for a

ry an adventure

This trip will be ahallenge another one ofhose numerous obstacleshat do not ever run out of ourives A challenge posinganother learning experience soo speak and one which callsor a brave and immediateesponse This promise of

new experience far from homeaway from family and outside

f comfort zones with not soamiliar companies and at theame time given the chance of

meeting new friends fromdifferent places knowing andxchanging stories with them

will indeed be something to be

While it is normal to haveapprehensions of uncertaintyand fear and other of similar

kinds it is never easy to

embark on a trip for a farawaytrip spending long days awayfrom family and love onesR e s t l e s s n e s s a n dinconveniences are given to be

always there

To attend in YMCANational Congress in Baguioas well is noteasy mores o i t

nota j okee s p e - c i a l l yfrom someone who hails fromMiagao Iloilo Miagao is atown at about 40 kilometerssouth of Iloilo City where oneof the two tertiary levelschools aside from thefamous University of thePhilippines in the Visayas is

located and of which MiagaoCampus is its flagship in theVisayas the other one is SIPC-WVCST Southern Iloilo Pol-ytechnic College-WesternVisayas College of Scienceand Tecnology where I alongwith another adviser and threeother students will representour school in this YMCA

National Conference

When we arrived here aftea long bus trip from Manila inthat one early morning thecold weather of the city that isso renowned is immediatelyfelt Where flowers areblooming along the streetsnearing the famous city itsbreeze cold as expectedcovered the air much like afeeling of air-cons installedeverywhere Truly a majesticplace filled with pines andwinding streets and good foods

too

Until the first day of the

seminar has finally arriveddelegations coming fromdifferent places with differenculture starts to overwhelm theplace with the start oregistration and assignment or o o m s t h a t m a k i n gacquaintances and casuatalks to another follow As tothose answers I have initiallyasked myself I am not sure

yet if I already answered themitrsquos a bit too early for those suppose all I know and I wanted to be concerned about is theseminar Having the proped i s p o s i t i o n g e t t i n gfocused on all the activitiestogether with having friendsand learning from every onemost especially learning andparticipating whole-heartedly

in its activities and with althose inputs this NationaYMCA Congress surelyeverything will turn out to bevital exciting and very

enjoyable onehellip

What we face now

Our Mother Earth is sick right now and what is sadabout this reality is that only few dare to cure its sick-

ness

Yes almost everybody dreams of having a perfectplace to live in- a place that would somehow give them

ease and comfort

Nevertheless our government has never been tiredof making proposals and planning to make a healthyenvironment In addition there are also many of thenon-government organizations like Green PeaceMovement which have been passionate in advocatingcampaigns and educating people on the value of

protecting our environment

Everyone hopes that sooner or later we will find therealizations of our dreamsmdash to live in a paradise-like

place

Hence Dr Florentino H Hornedo said yesterdaythat ldquoHope is not just a wish It is something that we

have to work forrdquo

Indeed today is not yet too late If everyone will do

our share everything will be possible

located and of which MiagaoCampus is its flagship in theVisayas the other one is SIPC-WVCST Southern Iloilo Pol-ytechnic College-WesternVisayas College of Scienceand Tecnology where I alongwith another adviser and threeother students will representour school in this YMCA

When we arrived here aftea long bus trip from Manila inthat one early morning thecold weather of the city that isso renowned is immediatelyfelt Where flowers areblooming along the streetsnearing the famous city itsbreeze cold as expectedcovered the air much like afeeling of air-cons installedeverywhere Truly a majesticplace filled with pines andwinding streets and good foods

too

Until the first day of the

seminar has finally arriveddelegations coming fromdifferent places with differenculture starts to overwhelm theplace with the start oregistration and assignment or o o m s t h a t m a k i n gacquaintances and casuatalks to another follow As tothose answers I have initiallyasked myself I am not sure

What we face now

Our Mother Earth is sick right now and what is sadabout this reality is that only few dare to cure its sick-

ness

Yes almost everybody dreams of having a perfectplace to live in- a place that would somehow give them

ease and comfort

Nevertheless our government has never been tiredof making proposals and planning to make a healthyenvironment In addition there are also many of thenon-government organizations like Green PeaceMovement which have been passionate in advocatingcampaigns and educating people on the value of

protecting our environment

Everyone hopes that sooner or later we will find therealizations of our dreamsmdash to live in a paradise-like

place

Hence Dr Florentino H Hornedo said yesterdaythat ldquoHope is not just a wish It is something that we

have to work forrdquo

Indeed today is not yet too late If everyone will do

our share everything will be possible

located and of which MiagaoCampus is its flagship in theVisayas the other one is SIPC-WVCST Southern Iloilo Pol-ytechnic College-WesternVisayas College of Scienceand Tecnology where I alongwith another adviser and threeother students will representour school in this YMCA

National Conference

When we arrived here aftea long bus trip from Manila inthat one early morning thecold weather of the city that isso renowned is immediatelyfelt Where flowers areblooming along the streetsnearing the famous city itsbreeze cold as expectedcovered the air much like afeeling of air-cons installedeverywhere Truly a majesticplace filled with pines andwinding streets and good foods

too

Until the first day of the

seminar has finally arriveddelegations coming fromdifferent places with differenculture starts to overwhelm theplace with the start oregistration and assignment or o o m s t h a t m a k i n gacquaintances and casuatalks to another follow As tothose answers I have initiallyasked myself I am not sure

yet if I already answered themitrsquos a bit too early for those suppose all I know and I wanted to be concerned about is theseminar Having the proped i s p o s i t i o n g e t t i n gfocused on all the activitiestogether with having friendsand learning from every onemost especially learning andparticipating whole-heartedly
