K2 - Mrs. Richardson Winter may be lingering a bit, but in K2, spring is definitely in the air. Each day last week we learned about a different sign of spring, from nests filled with baby birds and pretty flowers blooming, to cute baby animals, fuzzy caterpillars, and rainy days and mud puddles. We’re getting in the mood for warm-er days when we can go outside and play in the sun! Check out what we did this week on our website!

[Click Here] K3 - Mrs. Myers This week the K3 class learned about the letter U. We took arrows and painted them going up on our letter U pa-per. We also made an underwater picture. We have also been learning about Easter. Check out what we did this week on our website!

[Click Here] K4 - Mrs.Crago This week in our class, we have focused on Easter! As we learn about Jesus, we visited the cross that will be used in the Living Cross program. We also dyed Easter eggs using shaving cream and food coloring. It was so much fun! Check out what we did this week on our website! [Click Here]

Kindergarten—Mrs. Bassler and Mrs. Hendra

Kindergarten had a blast at our Westminster Li-brary Field trip. We all enjoyed our ride in the tur-tle top van and singing “The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round” all the way there! Spotting the “Library Lion” was awesome. The puppet show of the “Three Little Pigs” brought much laughter from the children. Our tour was very educational as we learned where to find everything we need in the Library. The highlight for all was the secret book drop! Check out what we did this week on our website!

1st Grade - Mrs. Beard

Last week, our students performed very well at the Fine Arts competitions. Congratulations to our win-ners. The choir will be returning to sing at the state level on April 6th in Hagerstown. Student of the Week last week was Trace and this week was Aus-tin! We enjoyed a wonderful day today at the Na-tional Museum of Dentistry in Baltimore where we learned all about dental health and experienced fun hands-on exhibits! Happy birthday to Austin, who celebrated last week and to Mason and Maris-sa who will celebrate over Easter Break. I hope you all enjoy a blessed Easter with family and friends! 2nd Grade - Miss Sachs Spring? Winter? Spring again?? The weather sure is keeping us guessing! We went ahead and made some water-color kite crafts and pipe cleaner tulip crafts to bid spring welcome anyway. (Maybe it will come quicker!) Animals are fun to learn about, and we are do-ing just that in science! We will be do-ing an animal project to further our study about them. In math we have be-gun 3-digit subtraction. It is tricky, but with focus and tricks like "more on the floor, go next door" students are quickly picking up the skill. We are now in the 4th quarter and want to strive to do our absolute best as the end of the school year ap-proaches! Check out what we did this week on our website! [Click Here]

3rd Grade - Mrs. McLaughlin Third grade has been working on a Lan-guage project off and on since January. The students wrote a friendly letter to someone in the class. Then we ad-dressed the envelopes, and we finally mailed them last week. Most of the students have already received the letter written to them in the mail. Check out what we did this week on our website! [Click Here]

4th Grade - Mrs. Eckard

In 4th grade when a student finishes reading a book of the Bible, they can have a TREAT OR A TREASURE. Recently most of them are picking the treasure. They are growing up. The treasure lasts longer. Now they are setting up desks for their new little friends and pretending THEY are attending school, too. I thought it was cute to watch new things develop in 4th grade. Well done guys, may you always love God’s Word. Our State Notebooks are done and graded. They will be on display in our library. We worked all 3rd quarter on this project and learned many new things. We will have a special Maryland lunch in May. Mrs. Eckard says these were the best batch of State Notebooks she has ever seen. Well done stu-dents. Last Friday almost the entire school went to Hagerstown to compete in Fine Arts. It was a long day, but we were very proud of our students. These folks went the extra mile and got involved in other areas of com-petition. Family, friends and teachers were there to cheer them on. It was a good day of competition and just being together. Thank you Lord for the opportunity to use our talents. Check out what we did this week on our website! [Click Here]

5th Grade - Miss Castaneda

Last week in 5th grade, we had fun wrapping up our fractions chapter! We also took time to learn a little more about stars and constellations. We are very proud of our classmates, Tiffany and Joshua, who won first place in the fine arts competition! Thank you for all your help and prayers! Check out what we did this week on our website!
