Группа из 5 преподавателей физической культуры из средних школ Кыргызстана прошла программу обмена по повышению квалификации в США весной 2012 года. По требованиям программы они организуют молодёжный спортивный лагерь для 50 юношей и девушек со всего Кыргызстана.

Цели спортивного лагеря:

Распространение знаний и навыков по предупреждению и разрешению конфликтов среди школьников и молодёжи Кыргызстана

Повышение межнациональной, гендерной и географической толерантности Развитие лидерских качеств Последующее распространение участником знаний и навыков, полученных во время летнего

лагеря, в своей школе и сообществе среди сверстников

Спортивный лагерь будет отличной возможностью - как для девушек, так и для юношей - из всех регионов страны: научиться новым для Кыргызстана командным видам спорта, получить жизненные навыки по предупреждению конфликтов, лидерству, терпимости, здоровому образу жизни, гендерной чувствительности, коммуникациям и т.д., а также завести новых друзей среди сверстников различного

национального, религиозного и географического происхождения и, наконец, бесплатно отдохнуть на озере Иссык-Куль.

Для участия в лагере не требуется никакая специальная спортивная подготовка или атлетические данные – достаточно предоставить медицинскую справку о состоянии здоровья. Путёвки будут приобретены за счёт АЙРЕКСа и будут включать в себя проживание и питание участников. Мероприятие будет проведено на базе летнего лагеря на северном берегу озера Иссык-Куль с 26 по 30 августа 2012 г.

Требования к кандидатам:

Полностью и правильно заполненная заявка с ответами на все вопросы анкеты, на кыргызском или русском языке. Контактные данные должны содержать полные региональные коды телефонов, коды сотовых сетей, почтовые индексы и т.п.

The Central Asian Faculty Development Programme (CAFDP) of the University of Central Asia (UCA) is pleased to announce its 2013-14 scholarships for Doctoral studies at partner institutions around the world, including the University of Cambridge, UK, German universities through partners

The CAFDP of UCA offers support for Central Asian scholars to pursue doctoral studies, with the understanding that upon graduation they will work as UCA faculty for a minimum of five years at the Graduate School of Development and/or the undergraduate School of Arts and Sciences at UCA's campuses in Khorog (Tajikistan), Naryn (Kyrgyz Republic) and Tekeli (Kazakhstan).

Eligible fields of study:

Natural and Applied Sciences: Biology, chemistry, biochemistry, applied physics, geology/geosciences, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering sciences (environmental engineering, complex systems analysis and design), environmental sciences and environmental earth sciences, rural development and natural resource management.

Social Sciences and Humanities: Archaeology, cultural anthropology/ethnography, economics, sociology, Asian and Middle Eastern studies, development studies (economics), ethnomusicology, mountain tourism, public policy and business (with a focus on entrepreneurship).

Американский университет Центральной Азии впервые организует медиа-лагерь для обсуждения вопросов формирования имиджа государства и нации в СМИ. Опытные тренеры расскажут, как помочь правильно сформировать образ нации через медиа, как избежать стереотипного мышления, и как гражданская журналистика может помочь в освещении вопросов национальности, нации и государства.

Медиа-лагерь даст не только практические навыки медиа-производства, но и повысит экспертный потенциал участников в области отношений между Российской Федерацией и Центральной Азией. 50 участников из Российской Федерации и Центральной Азии соберутся вместе на первый евразийский медиа-лагерь «Развитие диалога между молодыми лидерами Российской Федерации и Центральной Азии», который пройдет в Кыргызстане с 17 по 30 августа 2012 года. USAID опубликовало 15-й выпуск Индекса устойчивости НПО в Евразии

Бишкек. - Агентство США по международному развитию (USAID) опубликовало 15-й выпуск Индекса устойчивости неправительственных организаций (ИУНПО), который теперь называется Индекс устойчивости организаций гражданского общества (ИУОГО) в знак признания широкого круга

некоммерческих организаций гражданского общества (ОГО), действующих в регионе. Отмечая свою 15 публикацию такого ценного аналитического инструмента исследований, ИУОГО значительно преобразовался с начала своего зарождения – его охват расширился от 21 страны в Европе и Евразии до 60 стран в различных регионах мира.

Американский университет в Центральной Азии является партнером USAID/Кыргызстан в проведении Индекса устойчивости организаций гражданского общества в Кыргызстане. Охватывая развитие событий в гражданском обществе в течение 2011 календарного года, Индекс проводит анализ общих благоприятных условий для гражданского общества с особым вниманием на правовую среду, организационное развитие, финансовую устойчивость, защиту общественных интересов, предоставление услуг, инфраструктуру и общественный имидж.

2011 год явился переломным годом для демократических процессов в Кыргызстане. Это отразилось в изменениях особенности управления в Кыргызстане, что еще больше подчеркивает важность вклада гражданского общества в развитие Кыргызстана.

All ordinarily resident (or) applicants (see appendix a) must have the required work and/or residency permits to be eligible for consideration.

The U.S. embassy in bishkek is seeking an individual for the position of translator/interpreter in the executive office.

Basic function of position:

The incumbent serves as interpreter from English into Kyrgyz and Russian or vice versa for the Ambassador and other mission officials. In addition, working in conjunction with the Protocol Assistant and the Ambassador’s Office Management Specialist, the incumbent plans and coordinates various functions as required; coordinating the Ambassador’s meetings with senior Government officials and other dignitaries, translates correspondence addressed to the Ambassador into English; drafts and translates letters, diplomatic notes and other correspondence into Kyrgyz and/or Russian.

Qualifications required:

All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

Education: An earned University degree humanities, social science and/or applied arts is required. Prior work experience: Two years of progressively responsible experience in consecutive interpretation,

and translation involving English as one of the languages is required. Language Proficiency: English-Level IV/IV (Fluent) (written/spoken), Kyrgyz Level IV/IV (written/spoken)

(native, fluent), Russian Level IV/IV (native, fluent) (written/spoken) is required. (This will be tested)

Job Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Kyrgyz political structure, culture, and social mores. Good working knowledge of Department of State protocol and correspondence instructions and procedures is required. Page 2 of 6

Skills and abilities: Excellent organizational skills to assist in planning and directing functions. Good oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills. Ability to determine priorities effectively. Skill in operating word processing equipment and software. (This will be tested)

Selection process

When fully qualified, U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and U.S. Veterans are given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in the application.

Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.

The term shall include, in addition to natural offspring, stepchildren and adopted children and those under legal guardianship of the employee or the spouse when such children are expected to be under such legal guardianship until they reach 21 years of age and when dependent upon and normally residing with the guardian;

Parent (including stepparents and legally adoptive parents) of the employee or of the spouse, when such parent is at least 51 percent dependent on the employee for support;

Sister or brother (including stepsisters and stepbrothers, or adoptive sisters or brothers) of the employee, or of the spouse, when such sibling is at least 51 percent dependent on the employee for support, unmarried, and under 21 years of age, or regardless of age, incapable of self-support.

2. U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Member (USEFM): For purposes of receiving a preference in hiring for a qualified position, an EFM who meets the following criteria:

U.S. Citizen; and, EFM (see above) at least 18 years old; and, Listed on the travel orders of a direct-hire Foreign, Civil, or uniformed service member assigned to or

stationed abroad with a USG agency that is under COM authority, or at an office of the American Institute in Taiwan; and either:

1. Resides at the sponsoring employee's or uniformed service member's post of assignment abroad or at an office of the American Institute in Taiwan;

2. or resides at an Involuntary Separate Maintenance Allowance (ISMA) location authorized under 3 FAM 3232.2.

3. Appointment Eligible Family Member (AEFM): EFM (see above) eligible for a Family Member Appointment for purposes of Mission employment:

Is a U.S. citizen; and Spouse or same-sex domestic partner (as defined in 3 FAM 1610) or a child of the sponsoring

employee who is unmarried and at least 18 years old; and Is listed on the travel orders or approved Form OF-126, Foreign Service Residence and Dependency

Report, of a sponsoring employee, i.e., a direct-hire Foreign Service, Civil Service, or uniformed service member who is permanently assigned to or stationed abroad at a U.S. mission, or at an office of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), and who is under chief of mission authority; and

Is residing at the sponsoring employee's post of assignment abroad or, as appropriate, office of the American Institute in Taiwan.

Does not receive a Foreign Service or Civil Service annuity 4. Member of Household (MOH): An individual who accompanies a direct-hire Foreign, Civil, or uniformed service member permanently assigned or stationed at a U.S. Foreign Service post or establishment abroad, or at an office of the American Institute in Taiwan. An MOH is:

Not an EFM; and, Not on the travel orders of the sponsoring employee; and, Has been officially declared by the sponsoring USG employee to the COM as part of his/her household.

A MOH is under COM authority and may include a parent, unmarried partner, other relative or adult child who falls outside the Department’s current legal and statutory definition of family member. A MOH does not have to be a U.S. Citizen.

4. Not Ordinarily Resident (NOR) – An individual who: Is not a citizen of the host country; and, Does not ordinarily reside (OR, see below) in the host country; and, Is not subject to host country employment and tax laws; and, Has a U.S. Social Security Number (SSN).

NOR employees are compensated under a GS or FS salary schedule, not under the LCP.

5. Ordinarily Resident (OR) – A Foreign National or U.S. citizen who: Is locally resident; and, Has legal, permanent resident status within the host country; and, Is subject to host country employment and tax laws.

EFMs without U.S. Social Security Numbers are also OR. All OR employees, including U.S. citizens, are compensated in accordance with the Local Compensation Plan (LCP).

The CommunicationsOfficer function is locatedwithin the University of CentralAsia Communications Office and reports directly to the Head of Communications. Communications tasks are allocated with the approval of the Head of Communications.

The position is responsible for assisting with UCA’s corporate communications, branding, identity andimage projected to its key stakeholders. Part of this role entails a coordination role to liase with CAO and regional units.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Communications Officer will take on a number of major functions:

Develop and maintain relations with Central Asian media Organise and catalogue UCA’s news resources and databases Work closely with print production companies to develop communications materials Coordinate the development and production of internal communications materials Develop materials for UCA’s corporate website Assist with planning UCA high-level events Other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Communications

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING PROFILE:

Degree in media, journalism or related fields At least 2 - 3 years of communications experience in a corporate / academic setting Ability to operate and develop design in Adobe Suite / MS Office Excellent written and oral communication skills Good organizational and time management skills Demonstrated ability to organise media events such as press conferences Personal integrity and good judgement

Outgoing personality and ability to work well under pressure Flexibility to travel within Central Asia as needed Excellent knowledge of English, Russian and at least one Central Asian language
