We look forward to another productive and exciting half term. 39 Steps School Production Tickets for the school production ----------------------------- of ‘The 39 Steps’ will be --------- ------------------------------available for parents to ----------- ------------------------------purchase from Monday 13 th ------ ------------------------------November. Tickets are priced at ------------------------------£3.50 (£1.50 concessions) and can be purchased at lunchtimes in the Drama Block. All students involved in the production must attend a dress rehearsal on Saturday 18 th November 10am to 5pm. Life Drawing workshop at Dulwich Picture Gallery On Wednesday, students who are taking part in the Dulwich Picture Gallery Heritage Project attended a life drawing session at the gallery. They learnt about proportions and foreshortening. A great time was had by all. Frankfurt Trip 2018 A reminder to parents and carers that payment for the Frankfurt trip for Year 7 Maths Scholars and Gifted and Talented students is now due. Please check ParentPay if your child is part of the cohort. Parents who require further information about the Maths scholarship programme should contact the department via [email protected] Year 12 Careers Advice On 15 th November, Year 12 students will be spending the afternoon attending a talk on “How to acquire work experience from the City firms” from Prospects Service as part of the Sixth Form careers programme. Further details have been issued separately. SCHOOL NEWS Tudor Bake Off and More! Students were tasked with creating a project on an aspect of Tudor life. From menus of 'Jumble Biscuits' to high end Tudor catwalk fashion. They excelled in creating dynamic and innovative work. There was even a Tudor ‘Bake Off’ set created, perfectly timed for 'historic bakes' week on the real show! Students of special mention include Mayah Baidoo, Morgan Collymore, Laura Traves, Lucy McDonald, Tamsin Pierce, Mathilda Robbins, Theo Ratcliff, Alysha Riches and Tymon Mlynarski to name but a few. This was such a fantastic display of creativity and learning and A superb effort all round! House News The Young Enterprise Launch

Pad Programme 'Takes Off' at Kingsdale!

Over the course last week,

the Young Enterprise Team

were in school to deliver

a series of workshops to

the entire Year 7 cohort.

Every student

got to engage in this

exciting programme aimed

at helping them to develop

crucial employability skills

such as teamwork,

communication and problem

solving. The workshops are

project focused giving

students an opportunity to

see how major brands are

launched from scratch and

marketed. In addition, they

explored the personnel

behind the launch of

modern brands. All students completed the

sessions and were given a certificate to

acknowledge their participation.
