Greetings:

Man what a cold and miserable February we had this year, you know it’s bad when the Club and local businesses were closing down due to the cold, but hopefully we are on the up swing and we don’t have to go looking for a ground hog that said there was going to be a early spring.

Mark you calendar as the Spring Extravaganza is April 6th! Come in and pay early to get the seat you want, as we all know the seats will fill up fast.

It’s time to think about who you would like to nominate for the Eagle of the Year. If you have anyone in mind please submit a letter and bring it in to our Secretary Larry Silverthorn.

It’s that time of year again to pay your dues, and if you pay them early the Grand Aerie will put your name in a drawing for $100.00 and who couldn’t use some extra cash for being early.

If you are a member in good standing and have a Son, daughter or grandchild that will be graduating think about writing a letter for a scholarship through the Eagles. Write your letter and submit it to the committee for scholarships. Lets start them out on the right financial foot.

The District 1 Convention has been changed from April 6th to April 20th @ 1pm. It also will be in Grand Rapids instead of Cloquet.

We have had a few great functions, and again I would like to thank all the volunteers and the workers for doing such a great time.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone. Your Worthy President, Fred Schrader

Hi Sisters!

Sorry about last months newsletter. I was in TX and didn’t get it in on time.

The Bar Olympics was a lot of fun. Vance Peters and I can in last place, but we had fun.

Super Bowl was fun and had lots of foods and prizes. Thank you Sherry & Vance Peters and Bina, Larry & Tim for working in the kitchen.

No-Tap Mixed Doubles Bowling Tournament - everyone had fun. Not as many people as last year.

My fundraiser went good. The weather was bad, but we did good and it will all go the heart & Vascular Unit here in Bemidji. Thank you to everyone for the donations!

I hope everyone is staying warm only about 4 weeks until spring!

Thank you to the elves who filled candy bags for Meals on Wheels.

If you have a senior come in and fill out an application for a $500 Scholarship.

I would like to thank everyone that helped with cleanup for me. Sherry Peters has March if you like to help you can call Sherry or me 218-368-0748. The next district meeting is April 20 in Grand Rapids at 1:00.

Sincerely your Auxiliary President,

Marilyn Hazen
