ABOUT ISTE, NEW DELHI

The Indian Society for Technical Education is a

national, professional, non-profit making Society

registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860.

First started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of

Technical Institutions (APTI), it was converted into

“Indian Society for Technical Education” in 1968 with a

view to enlarge its activities to advance the cause of

technological education in the country. ISTE has an

Executive Council at National level. It has active

membership of more than 97286 technical teachers,

5,66,466 student members, more than 2345 institutional

members (including IITs, IISc.., NITs and other leading

technical institutions), 1166 faculty chapters and 1280

students’ chapters throughout the country. The major

objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the

production and development of top quality professional

engineers and technicians needed by the industries and

other organizations.

ABOUT ISTE AP SECTION

Knowledge and skill development of profession-

als deployed in engineering education,Industries and

research institutions has to be continuously updated to

meet the fast Changing requirements of technological

developments. While NKC has made recommendations

embracing several sectors, it specifically identified the role

of innovation as one of the key factors in India’s

economic growth. “Innovation is a process to achieve

measurable value enhancement in any commercial

activity, through introduction of new or improved goods,

services, operational and organizational process. It is a

significant factor in facilitating compititiveness,

improvement in market share and quality as well as

reduction in cost”.

21st Century, The Dawn of Digital Era:

Pedagogical issues of technical teachers

21st century will be the multimedia communica-

tions century. Today, digital lessons on the Internet are

still in their infancy. This seminar covers all the aspects

necessary to understand the digital teaching. It is a

splendid window into the digital education. Teaching is a

composite field, deals with a couple of factors. The aim

is to get a feel for the digital education that underpins

digital teaching techniques.

Aditya Institute of Technology and Management
