knowledge of tools, machines, techniques, crafts,

systems, methods of organization, in order to solve

a problem, improve a preexisting solution to a

problem, achieve a goal or perform a specific

function.

Technologies significantly affect human as well as

other animal species' ability to control and adapt to

their natural environments.

What is the Information Technology

• IT is the branch of engineering that deals with the

use of computers to store, retrieve and transmit

information.

• IT is the area of managing technology and spans a

wide variety of areas that include computer

software, information systems, computer hardware,

programming languages but are not limited to

things such as processes, and data constructs.

What is the Health Care

• Health care (or healthcare) is the diagnosis,

treatment, and prevention of disease, illness, injury,

and other physical and mental impairments in

humans.

• Health care is delivered by practitioners in

medicine, chiropractic, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy,

allied health, and other care providers.

• HIT provides the umbrella framework to

describe the comprehensive management of health information across computerized systems.
