Vision

The Indonesian Zoo and Aquarium envisions aworld where all people respect, value and conserve

animals and nature.





Mission

IZA zoos and aquariums are places where peopleconnect with animals. We are therefore dedicated to

excellence in animal care and welfare, conservation,education, and research that collectively inspirerespect for animals and nature.





Goals

Establishing and promoting high standards of animal care and welfare;

Promoting and facilitating collaborative conservation and researchprograms;

Strengthening and promoting conservation education programs forour public and professional development, and;

Raising awareness of the collective impact of its members and theirprograms.





Targets

The first conservation target was to focus on developingconservation action for the endangered endemic species of

Indonesian.

The second target, on a broader regional scale, was to focus ondeveloping conservation action for the threatened species of

Southeast Asia.

The third target was to develop quality captive breeding programs

with the view that these species provide the linkage between thecaptive breeding community and the wildlife agencies and

conservation organizations of Indonesian.
