2. DEAR DELEGATE Information technology and business are
becoming inextricably interwoven. I dont think anybody can talk
meaningfully about one without talking about the other. Bill Gates
Welcome to Insurance Technology 2014, a place where you can share
ideas, hear from the experts and come together to champion
innovation in our industry. Technology is ploughing forward at an
astonishing rate with little regard for what stands in its way. To
get left behind, or outpaced by competitors, is a one way ticket
into obscurity. This is why we are proud to deliver a jam packed
agenda, bursting with the latest developments that are impacting
technology today. The last 12 months have seen progress in many
areas that impact back office systems. Today, we will take a deeper
look into how these changes will really impact our business. As
well as focusing on the here and now, looking to past examples for
guidance, we will also gaze ahead. To future proof our strategies
and correctly adopt emerging technology is a sure re way to keep
one step ahead. We would like to encourage you to get everything
you can out of the day, by putting questions to our speakers during
sessions and taking the chance to chat with them during the breaks.
You can also get involved in the debate throughout the day on
twitter, by tweeting us with #posttech. Once again welcome to
Insurance Technology 2014. If you require assistance at any point
during the day please nd Lucy Baker at the registration desk, who
will be more than happy to help. On behalf of the whole team here
at Post, we hope you nd today business useful and enjoyable. Best

10. www.InsuranceDataMigrations.co.uk With over 27 years
experience in insurance legacy systems Insurance Data Migrations
(IDM) have mastered a proven data migration methodology to improve
the quality and de-risk the conversion of insurance data when
consolidating and upgrading systems. IDM have successfully
completed well over 100 migrations which have included complex Pan
European binder management systems and the migration and
integration of multiple lines of business to decommission numerous
systems for leading Lloyds Insurers. As specialists in migrating
financial data with complete reconciliation we are capable of
converting up to 99.9% of your data, leaving you with less
re-keying on renewal and retaining your invaluable data for
business insight. Our experts can often reduce migration timeframes
and estimated costs which have been quoted by in-house teams or
software suppliers by 40 60% and we pride ourselves on successfully
delivering on time and within budget. IDM have detailed knowledge
of most insurance systems on the market and many of the legacy
systems which are no longer supported i.e. systems written in third
generation languages such as Cobol & Dibol. IDMs skills and
techniques are not only limited to data migration we can also
assist insurers in business as usual activities such as: Importing
and improving data quality for Catastrophe models which for a
particular insurer resulted in releasing 2 million pounds worth of
capital reserve and saving Catastrophe Risk Modellers more than 10
days a quarter in effort. Improving the business processes and
efficiency of bordereaux processing and reconciliation which for a
particular insurer enabled credit control for a particular insurer
to reclaim unpaid premiums of 1.8m from coverholders. IDMs data
quality solutions can also significantly mitigate the risk of
reporting errors, ensuring compliance and giving Insurers the
ability to meet investor and regulatory requirements. Our on-tap
data services bridge the gap between the significant overheads
larger consultancies chargethat may only bring an advisory outcome
or expensive tool sets and the traditional contractor resourcing
that can be inconsistent or come with a heavy recruitment /
management overhead. We offer 12 months warranty, an agile business
led approach and are available to supplement and support your
business experts with experienced resource as and when required at
critical times. INSURANCE DATA MIGRATIONS Independent specialists
