Italian Researcher wins 1993 Munro Prize

Professor Philip L. Gould (right) presents the 1993 Munro Prize award to Italian engineer, Dr Gian Carlo Giuliani (left) at the IASS-ASCE International Symposium in Atlanta in April 1994.

Dr Giuliani’s paper ‘Structural design, analysis and full-scale tests of seismically isolated buildings’ has been widely acclaimed. It was unanimously chosen as the best one published in Engineering Structures in 1993 (Vol 15 No 2 pp 102-116). Congratulations to Dr Giuliani on this well-deserved award.
