Pewterinlays on handle inscribed on right side with an indianshooting a bow and a dog at his feet. Inlay on the leftside inscribed with a bow and arrow. Blade inscribed withinitials "WJL". Hinged lid covers the pipe bowl.

Description: Large balled club with images of soldierscarved on handle. Soldiers have hats, long tailed coatswith buttons, bloused pants and rifles with bayonets.Another part of the carving shows an officer on horse,with drawn sword and another uniformed soldier carryinga drum. Handle has been cracked in olden times andrepaired with two old English musket screws. There arethree carved fishes, a water bird and a wolf. The ball isheld in the mouth of an underwater water monster.
