3) Press the to boot from DVD

4) Files will start loading

5) Take the defaults on the Languagescreen Click Next

6) Click Install nowon the install screen

7) Clickthe second lineitem for the GUI.The default install is now Server Core.Then click Next

8) ReadLicense Agreement, Turn onCheckboxI accept the licenseterms then Click Next

9) Click Custom: Install Windows only(Advanced)

10) The disk you are using should belisted. If not, you will need to Loaddriver. Select the diskyou will beinstalling on. If you do not want tochange drive options[optional]; Click

Next (DO NOT click NEXT if you aredoing optional steps on #11)

If you want to use Dual boot usingNative Boot To VHD (Boot2VHD) seeBelow

11) [optional:] Click drive options thenyou can create custom partitions

[Optional:] Add a drive using NativeBoot To VhdSHIFT-F10 to open a command prompt

Find installation drive (dir c:, dir d:, dire:, etc)

Diskpart to open the Disk PartitionUtility (the first four lines below are all

the same command and must run onthe same line; separated here to makeit easier to read)

Create vdiskfile=e:\BootDemo.vhdtype=expandablemaximum=40000

Attach vdiskExit

Then Refresh

12) It will then start copying files. This willtake a while (could be 20 mins or sodepending on hardware performance)

It will reboot a couple times(automatically) after the first reboot itwill no longer be running off of the DVD

13) In the Passwordbox enter a newpassword for this computer. It mustmeet complexity requirements. Re-enter the password in the secondpassword box then click Finish

14) Press Ctrl-Alt-Deleteat the same timeto get the login screen

15) Enter passwordand press

16) The Desktopwill be displayed andServer Managerwill be openedautomatically.

19) You will see that the System Propertiesscreen looks almost identical to priorversions of windows. We can nowchange the computer name by clickingon Change Settings

20) Type new computer nameyou wouldlike to use and click OK

21) Click OKon the information box

Click OKto allow a restart

Then click Restart Nowon the finaldialog box.

When the computer restarts it will havethe new name, just login.
